Lindsey is correct EXCEPT the person to the RIGHT goes first.

From Wikipedia:

"This rule establishes that the right of way belongs to the driver who is coming from the right, and the driver coming from the left should yield to him."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rules_of_the_road#Right_of_way

The correct placement of hands, while driving, is (generally) as if 2 and 10 o'clock on a clock.

If you are turning RIGHT, the RIGHT hand goes over the left when you need to.

If you are turning LEFT, you LEFT hand goes over the right when needed.

HOWEVER, just make a SAFE turn -- what the examiner does NOT want to see is you "spinning" the steering wheel with your finger as you make a turn. Just drive cautiously, and turning will come natural.

Peace. And good luck. :D

Four-way stops are basically a game of chicken just go and hope then others stop before you hit them!

But no, really who ever stops first has right of way, on the chance that 2 people pull up at the same time from perpendicular directions the person to the right has right-of-way.

When turning, make sure never to cross your arms, because if for some reason you need to make a quick change you will not be as quick with your arms crossing over. If you only slide your hands and do not take them off the wheel you should be fine with this.

Who ever stops first will proceed first with caution

If more than one car approaches a 4 way at the same the driver on the right has the right of way. Basically if the other car is on your right hand side they go first

Hand position is 10 and 2, not sure about the turning hand placement, never had that one asked

If more than one vehicle appraoches a 4 way stop at the same time, the vehicle on the right has the right of way. And hands should be positioned at 2 and 11 o'clock on the steering wheel.

hands at "10" and "2" like on a clock.

At a 4-way stop, if there is a car to your right and you both get there at the same time, the car to the right has the "right of way"

At a 4-way stop (or any intersection) the person directly across from you has the right of way if they are going straight and you are turning left. If they are turning and you are going straight thn you have the right of way.

At a 4 way stop all vehicles must come to a complete stop. the first car stopping has the right of way and each car takes turn based on when they arrived at the intersection. If two vehicles arrive at the same time the car on the right has the "right of way", and should be allowed to go first.

The person who stops first goes first. If more than one stop the one on the right goes first. You should turn with hands and 10 and 2 and hand over hand.

A four way stop is just what it sounds. Everyone stops. The first person to stop goes first. If you stop at the same time as someone else the person to the left goes first.

Kristen I guess this may depend on whatever state your in but in my state if there is someone on your right then they have the right of way, assuming there is confusion or you both got there the same time.
