Yesterday I ran my M6 throught the carwash and 3 thick globs of bird-poo were still caked on when I got through. I don't think water and a sponge will do the trick, any suggestions?

My 1998 Jeep Cherokee makes a loud thump when shifted from drive to reverse and from reverse to drive, and it shakes when I take a curve. I'm pretty good with car repairs but I haven't found the root of the problem. I've taken apart the transfer case and rear end and found no mechanical problems. I've seen online that the linkage for the 4-wheel drive shifter may need replacing. Any thoughts?

I was just the victim of a 2nd accident in the same vehicle. I didn't plan any of this, my question is, since the car was pronounced a loss once, does it have an affect on this insurance claim? Am I screwed?

I had a guy detail my car, and he just delivered it to me at my place of work. After he left, I thought, hey, maybe I should have tipped him. I did pay $160 for the service...so should I also have tipped him? What's the protocol?

Is there any advantage to having them over an automatic? To me it seems like just an inconvienience of having to constantly shift and use the clutch.

Creaking noise around steering column starting around 600 miles. Checked in different HHR forums and found that other HHR owners has the exact problem. The local CHevy dealer is being difficult about fixing it. Need to complain to someone higher.
