Cars, but wagons and hatchbacks for better cargo flexibility. Gives you the best of both worlds – fuel efficiency and cargo hauling capacity. Only get a truck if you are thinking about hauling a boat or RV, but even then there are smaller SUVs with better fuel economy that will do the job. And in a car/SUV your cargo is protected from the elements and climate-controlled (assuming you buy a car with AC).

If you have the use for a truck, then by all means the truck is the way to go. It will make the money for you. But if it is for pleasure, then the car is the way to go to save on fuel expenses. Cars are simple and pretty uch cheaper to keep compared to a truck. If the truck is 4 wheel drive and the trans goes, you are looking a major money to replace. A car would be 1/2 the money. Tires are more expensive too. Just weigh the pros and cons. Dont get a truck just to be with the "IN" crowd cause everyone is driving them. Your choice, your money
