Nah, you are just calling a call center - probably in the Phillipines or India. Nothing happens.

Yes. The companies want/need to know if their drivers are driving in ways that are unsafe. Usually they are very grateful when they receive such reports. It helps if you get an ID number off the truck...if possible...that will help them know exactly which truck you are talking about and they can check their records to find out who the driver was.

No, I seriously dont think they do. We had a truck driver nearly kill us on I-44. He just came over and didnt even look! I reported him by leaving a message and asked for a call back with my info and noone ever responded. When I followed up, I was told they never recieved the message...tough luck I suppose. Good thing we're still alive.

Each call is transfered to a call center that will forward the reports to the owners or administrator of the trucks.

Why do you people always whine and complain about the truck drivers and their driving? If I had a dollar for every car that has cut off, tailgated, slammed on the brakes for no reason on me...I would be rich! Everyone makes mistakes..even you" perfect" people in your cars. If it weren't for the trucks and the people who drive them, your Wal-Marts and other stores wouldn't exist.

My mother-in-law actually got some one to pick up the phone at one of these, but as far as she knows nothing was done about the truck that ran her off the road.

Yes, they work. Why not call one today and congratulate the driver on his driving for a change. I know they make mistakes, but I am sure evryone makes the occasional mistake at work sometimes.
Congratulate a driver today.

Some do work but you have to have a ton of info when you call. Time, location, truck #, trailer#, etc...

Yes, I knew a guy that got fired because he was seen several times and reported for speeding by different people. Don't think it's a joke, because it is real.
