The fastest land car is the Thrust SSC (1,227.985 km/h) but it is no way a street car because of it's huge size and design. but the Fastest Road going production car is the Koenigsegg CCX 395+ km/h (245+ mph).

who ever said the Maserati MC12 or the Enzo is the fastest?? the MC12 is based off the Enzo just is heavier and slower and the Enzo isnt near the fastest in the world so i dont know where you got that from...also whoever said Lamborghini's are the fastest street legal cars where do you get your info?? Lambo's are my favorite cars but i know that they are nowhere near the fastest. The Murcielago's top speed is about 210MPH while the Gallardo's is "only" about 190MPH. The faster track edition Murcielago the GT-R can reach speeds excess of 220MPH but that is still not the fastest. Right now the Bugatti Veyron is. W16 engine and 4 turbos. 253MPH LIMITED. I heard that without a limiter it can go 279MPH. Also the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo is up there with it with speed at around 240MPH. Also the Koenigsegg CCR is close as well with speed reported at 242MPH.

topfuel dreag sters are the fastest cars not street legal, the veron is the fastest production. and there are plenty of modified production cars that are "street legal", and faster than the veron
