Why can't someone steal my identity and improve my credit score?

I'm 21 years old and have been trying for over a year to get a credit card, and no matter what credit card I apply for through whatever company, I always get declined. I have no idea why. I was wondering who I can contact about this? It's really an obnoxious situation and I just want to get it sorted out.

So I have a credit card with a fairly high APR with a $200 balance on it. If I pay it off completely, and then end up getting that money refunded to me, what happens to my account? does it make my limit higher? would it say I have a negative balance? will it just go back to whoever gave me the refund?

I want to pay it off, but I dont want to lose the money if it gets refunded to me... what would happen?

Hi Experts!

I am recovering from a hit to my credit report in the form of two consecutive non-payments on a small student loan. The loan bill was sent to my parents house who are retired and have been in Europe for the past 3 months so I don't completely blame myself. However - I just paid the payment balance last week and i'm curious about the effect it will have on my report.

So my questions are:
1)Will it take a month for the loan creditor to report the payment to the credit bureaus or is this more of an instantaneous process?
2)Now that the account dues are paid, will the loan be removed from the "adverse accounts" section of my report and will my score jump up at all?

I'm really interested in building up my score - this hit was a real punch in the nose for me. I guess there are always bumps in the road :(

Well thanks in advance for all of your help and I'm looking forward to reading your responses.
-CF

I have a relative who has been using my name, address and social security number to try to set up loans in my name to pay some debt that she owes. The bank got my phone number and told me about it. How can I report her? I already have a fraud alert on my credit report with the 3 reporting agencies. Is there anything else I can do?

My score was 750 until my spouse lost his good paying job, and couldnt get equivelant pay so our income drastically dropped. We continued to pay good on house and cars, and tried to make cc payments. had to skip payment on one because min was too high, so under universal default the others raised interest and min payment none of these scum bag collectors want to work out a payment plan they want all or nothing and one harrasses me daily for my personal banking info, which I wont give. Question is if I file chapter 7 how much worse will the score posasibly get, I opened 2 small cc to try to rebuild and have been good with them, also would not include them in BK will have 0 balance and hope they let me keep so that I can start the re build process. Its humiliating to do a BK but I feel like it is truly the last resort, I have very little equity in the house thanks to previous refi with cash out to pay for other cc that husband brought to table. what to do I feel like crap!

#1 limit 450.00 = balance 398.00 w/fixed APR 23.99 annual fee/12 = 5.75 monthly and opened 03/06.

#2 limit 850.00 = balance 788.02 w/APR 29.99 annual fee/12 = 10.95 monthly ( high apr went over limit 2 months ago ) and opened 11/06

Which one is best to pay off first?
A) card 1 - lowest amount and can be paid off this month. ( Thanks mom and dad for the 400.00 loan ) Called company yesterday. They waived monthly annual fee for 3 months. APR is fixed. Once paid off. Take extra payments that normally would pay card 1 and apply it to card 2.

card 2 - pay 400 towards the current balance, continue to focus extra payments to card 2 and pay 5.00 over minimum of card 1 & 3 until card 2 is paid for and closed. I know closing will hurt my score some. However, I want to get away from multiple annual fees.

My idea is. Once #2 closed and #1 paid in full but left open. Work on #3 limit is 750 with 716.67 balance.APR 27.99 & Annual fee billed yearly 59.00

Thank you!

I am the guarantor on a new credit card I just got for my business. It has a $50,000 spending limit and 0.0% APR for 12 months. If i spend up to that limit in the first two months and then wait another 10 months to pay off the full balance, will this affect my credit score?

I need to get some crowns and I know that it won't be cheap. I have enough space on one of my credit cards to put them on, however the interest rate is not that great. I know that "care credit" offers payment plans that would save me money in the long run, but I intend to apply for a mortgage next year. SO: Would the balance of a new credit line effect my credit approval chances more than just adding the balance to an existing account?

and learned how to make *Valid credit card numbers.
i went on steam, punched in the credit card info. (all fake)
and i completed the entire thing. im at the point were it is showing me my receipt. Im really wondering if i should press that Purchase button and download the game (half-life2).
i enterd in completly fake billing information and such, and i am not anywhere remotly close to living in the united states.
Will they be able to track me down and arrest me if i push that "Purchase button"?
or will everything go good and i will be with a free game no sweat?
OR~~ will they ban my account all together from steam leaving me unable to play the game?
so...
Should i Go for it? Getting the free game and all?
