I have a relative who has been using my name, address and social security number to try to set up loans in my name to pay some debt that she owes. The bank got my phone number and told me about it. How can I report her? I already have a fraud alert on my credit report with the 3 reporting agencies. Is there anything else I can do?

Two options:
1. Family conference and have someone else rein her in
2. Call the cops. This is identity theft.

Since it's already on Fraud Alert ,you're covered from that end. You'll have to decide if you want to file suit against the party in question. Even if you can settle it without going to court, there's no guarantee he/she will try again. There is so much fraud today that's there's no easy solution to fix the problem.

Did you report her to the police for using your name, address, etc.?

If not, go to the police department and report the theft to them.
