This e-mail indicated that my account will be frozen unless I re verify my info including, ss#, password and credit card # and other personal info.

The funny thing is I am not even a BofA customer. Has anyone else gotten something like this? To me it seems painfully obvious that this is someone else trying to scam personal info posing as BofA. What do you think?

My mother-in-law is 94, we've just moved her into a senior's residence.
She has signed over her government pension directly to them.
At her old bank, she had a credit card with $4,000 balance.
She only has $400 left in her account, & owns nothing else.
How can we/she get this settled? Who is responsible?

2 of my credit cards are in collections, I worked out payments with citibank for my mastercard and they are willing to help me. The collection agencies for the other 2 want such a high amount of payment that I cant keep up with (I am a full time college student). Is there any way to remove myself from collections and continue payments with the original company (citibank)???

OK, so I'm 14 and we have a family PC that is really crappy. I want a Dell that is only 18 dollars a month, which I can afford. But my dad says his credit score isnt good enough, so I have to save up all 600+ dollares for him to like credit it or something. Upon asking to get a Job, it was a "no", even after lengthy and persuasive discussion. It is frustrating that I can afford the monthly payments but I have to suffer because of my parent's financhial mistakes. at the rate that I earn money, it would take me one or two years to save enough for my new PC, by then I will lose interest. How do I make up for my parents mistakes and buy myself a computer??

So I have 3 credit cards: Amex, Chase, and a Visa from BofA. I now only use the Amex and Chase, and no longer use the Visa anymore. It's been almost 3 months and I have 0 balance for that visa. Is that bad for your credit score? Should I cancel it?

During my high school years, I had a checking out which like most of my friends, I abused as well as all the credit cards I managed to get my hands on. My parents ended up paying off my cards but I think there's still some checks that were unpaid and were probably sent to a collection agency. It was so long ago that I lost track of who I still owed. Ultimately, what's the worst that could happen if you fail to send a payment? I know credit cards will eventually just "charge off" your account or something which will then go to a collection agency. Will the agency sue me or can I go to jail for it? It's not that I don't want to pay them, I just don't know who I still owe. Would my credit report list every debt I still have?
