why do the songs I want cost .79 cents when I have a monthly membership?

Read your contract with the music provider. Most have a monthly fee PLUS a charge for each song you download from their site.

Those which do NOT have a monthly fee {WalMart, as an example) usually charge MORE for each song downloaded.
