Yes, they are out there, but you have to let them find you. You have to build up your reputation, and that does not happen overnight.
I do surveys online. I started by doing the ones for airline points and miles in my free time. With my permission, that company gave my name to a few others, which eventually led to me making a nice dollar in my spare time.
They do not take referrals, so please don't email me.

They are real. I do various surveys, points systems for reading mail, recording my shopping purchases etc. Doesn't pay much, but I save it all up and in December have around £150 to spend for xmas. EDIT: All those suggesting they are a scam should do a little more research. Web surveys are more and more popular with market research comapnies as it is a hell of a lot cheaper to run a survey, no phone costs, marketers, printing etc, so they all go for it now. Here are some I have received payments from: yougov ciao tns american consumer panel (and I'm English) Mutialpoints (not surveys but paid to click e-mail links. So maybe some are a scam but I can assure you there are genuine sites out there. You won't earn much but can be fun to do.

There are real suvey for cash sites but I have not found any where I can make $300 doing suveys. I'm a member of inbox dollars, send earnings, and cash crate where I do daily surveys that take around 15 minutes. Inbox dollars and send earnings pay $1.00 a survey and cash crate is $0.80 a survey. You not going to replace your job but you can make about $90 a month doing this. There are other legit survey sites but I have not tried them out. Suvey Savvy is a good site but you have to wait to be invited to a survey. I have been a member for a week now and I have not received a survey. Always research the site before joining and never join a site that requires you to pay for a membership. Sites that are legit should be free. If you want to know more about inbox dollars, send earnings, and cash crate check out my reviews on the site below.

Both. Some of the survey for cash sites are real, but by the time you take enough surveys to get a check, you make around $0.15 an hour. When I tried, I qualified for about 1 survey in 50. It usually took about 5 min to determine I didn't qualify for a given survey.
