If your card is lost, you should contact your issuing company (e.g. Citibank, CapitalOne, etc.) IMMEDIATELY to report it missing. They will then cancel that card to prevent it from being used from someone who may have found it, If you don't report it missing they could hold you responsible for charges made after it was lost. They will then issue you a new card with a different number and security code.
Your monthly statement usually has the account number; however, not all the information is on there, so it won't too easy for someone else to access your funds -- or for you to access someone else's since you are asking this question and for the security code, too /:)

You don't need the security code, you need to call your credit card company and report the card lost. Anyone that finds that card can use it...credit cards aren't protected by a PIN...and if you are aware your card is lost, do not report it, and it is used fraudulantly, your card company CAN hold you liable for the charges.

Call the issuing company- with enough information from you they can get the account number.
That is why you should always photocopy your credit cards, drivers license, insurance card and ss card.
Keep in a safe place, and if something hapens you know who to contact right away!

A billing statement might have it. But, if you've lost it, call your credit card company right away so they can cancel it and issue a replacement.
