I have had 8 items removed from my credit that were at the point that they were either more than 7 years old or the company was no longer in business and there wasn't anyone to confirm the debt with. I wrote the credit reporting agencies a letter to get these removed. And now i am at the point where i am wondering how long it will take before my credit scrore starts to climb UP because of this. I still have stuff on that i am making payments on, I am just wondering when my credit will start to benefit from this.

I applied to a payday loan company - was accepted in principle. Sent off required info excluding bank statements as I was waiting for them to arrive......now I have the statements and I cannot remember the name of the company.

They were in the uk and we called "cash" something or other - I have googled but there are so many - the website has an orange coloured front page.

Can anyone help??

I'm thinking of using my perfect credit to make money via piggybacking. Has anyone else done this? What are your thoughts.

A paid judgment and a lien that isnt mine is being reported by a credit reporting agency as unpaid and unsatisfied. I'm going to sue them for $300,000.00.
Does anyone know a lawyer in California who will take my case?
thanks

My mother-in-law has lupus, and is recieving disability since she can't work anymore. This week, her disability check was direct deposited in her account, but as soon as it was, the bank froze it due to a car payment being late. She says that when she applied for SS, they told her that no one could hold her money or freeze it. Is this true?

Hi everyone. I just started a full-time job in February after graduating college in december. I have a good salary and now i'm looking at taking a loan to buy a car and possibly some real-estate. To make this go smoothly i'm trying to increase my credit score which is below average. I know that I can add points to my score by simply increasing my credit limit while not spending anymore on my two credit cards. However, when I recently requested an increase on one of the cards I was denied. I know that I had increased to the max limit when I was a student, but I assumed that they would allow a further increase now that I'm making money.
My question is what is the best strategy to get an increase? I have a good amount of money in savings that i'd like to use as down payment on a real-estate investment, but i'm wondering how much of that I need to feed to my cards in order to get an increase and get my FICO up.

I recently discovered several errors on my credit report and paid of all remaining balances. I sent dispute letters and the errors/negative marks were deleted. Now I just need to find out how long it it will take for my score to go up.

I found out my FICO score is 649. The worst thing in my credit report was I missed some payments on a credit card for 3 months about a year ago. Also, I had a lot of open accounts, but I don't really owe much money anymore. So anyway, is a 649 a really bad score and what kind of FICO number should I be trying for?

My husband and I had great credit (above 750) until 2 months ago. Both of us lost our jobs and our savings couldn't float us. We moved in with my parents about 3 weeks ago to help, and now we're both working again at dependable jobs. (He had previously been self employed so there was never a steady paycheck.) We have a baby on the way and really need to get out of my parent's house. Unfortunately, the 2 jobless months left us high and dry credit-wise, and in a few short weeks it has plummeted from the high 750s to mid 400s.

It didn't take very long to ruin our credit; how long will it take to fix it, now that we're on time again, etc? Will it take just a few weeks? Or are we going to be waiting years before we can buy a house?

I am the cosigner on a friends car loan. In retrospect, that was a BIG mistake! He had the means to pay the loan when he bought the car, but is now getting sued by his ex-wife and is having 65% of his paycheck given to her so he cant pay the monthly loan on time every month. He currently has 6 late payments. I was never told he was late by him or by the creditor and just found out that I was denied for a personal loan because of the delinquency. Is there anyway I can take my name off the agreement? My credit was really good and is getting really bad really quick because of him. I dont want it to keep getting worse because he still has years left to pay on the car. Any advice on how to stop being a cosigner and try to restore my credit?

I got a credit card a few months back and vowed not to charge anything unless I could pay it off right away in order to build my credit. Well, my parents had me charge a plane ticket and the cost for 4 months of storage with the promise that they would send me the money before it was due. Here I am now, missed my first payment for two reasons. 1) they didn't send even a cent before the bill was due, 2) now that I have the money to pay it off, I am having a difficult time doing so because I can't deposit money in my account. I haven't gotten a bill yet so I couldn't mail a check.
This is my first credit card and my first payment ever. I have the money and it will be made off in the next few days, but my question is how bad will this affect my credit and am I doomed forever because of this?

Can a utility send you to a collection agency for a bill that was supposedly unpaid 13 years ago? Are there any statues of limitations on alleged unpaid bills in New York City, NY or California?

I have some very bad things on my credit report. The first step I have learned is to opt-out using creditboards.com. The second step is have my correct information on my credit report including my new married name. I have some accounts almost in obsolete categories. I am afraid to change information as the correct address is on my credit report and the collection agencies will then possibly relist or renew a debt that would have fallen off.

I was also told that I could dispute the debts on the report as they are listed under an incorrect address or name. How can I do this without "giving away" another seven years wait time if the collection agencies pull my credit again.

Thanks for you help.

The finance company wants me to send them $800 for insurance that will be refundable after 90 days. I guess because I have really bad credit. They also told me my terms which is a 9% interest rate for 2 years. They sent me a contract and all the necessary means of getting a loan. Do you think it's legit or a scam. Yes, the company is from the U.S.

I have no other option but bankruptcy, I already looked into all other options, I need to know the legal aspects of debt and marriage, plus if I file bankruptcy will we ever be able to buy a house, even if he is the only one on the loan or do I have to be put on there cause I will be his spouse?
