Is there a way for someone to sign over their paycheck to you and deposit and/or cash it in your own bank account? If so, how does this work? Do you just need to sign the back of it?

I recieved a credit card from Capital One about 3 weeks ago.Right away I used about 500 dollars of the available credit to buy some thing I had to get anyways. A few days later I paid it all off. My problem is I still havent recieved a statement from them. Does anyone know whether they send you a statement if you dont have a balance. I also just pulled a FICO report and they dont have the card listed yet. When does Capital One report?

Thanks

My husband and I are thinking of consolidating our bills, but we don't know where to start. Including credit cards, small personal loans, furniture that we had financed, and medical bills, it's only about $5,000, but our interest rates are so high, we want to try to change that. We spoke with CCCS (Consumer Credit Couseling Services), but I'm kind of 'iffy' about that. I would love to be able to just take out a loan for $5,000 and pay everything off, but neither one of us have good credit, so I don't know what to do. We both have scores of pretty close to 525.
Also, we do not own a home, we're renting.
Any advice?

It seems everytime I turn around something from the past jumps out of nowhere. I own my home and have made my payments on time for two years, since I have owned it. I need a loan but no one seems to want to help. Is there anywhere I can go to get help?

I had a credit card "charged-off" on my credit report and a collection agency that is for the same account is also on it. I was going to pay the collection agency when I got a letter from the credit card company that says I can still pay the charge-off. Do I have to pay both of these now or is one better than the other? If I pay the original creditor will the collection be taken off?

Something was proposed to me the other day and I wonder what would everyone else would do. Would you allow someone to use your credit to purchase a home if they paid $1,000 up front and then give you a percentage of the profit when the home is sold? Even if you have bad credit?

A couple months ago, I received a call from a debt collector regarding a card that I haven't used in 10 years wanting to collect on a balance that I was told back then was written off (from the credit bureau) due to my illness at the time. I was literally in shock. Not sure what to do about it since I no longer have the card or any statements since it's been 10 years. Please Help if you know of anything I can do. Thanks!

i bought a scooter on ebay from a co. in new york. before i paid them i asked if the scooter was legal in california and if it could be registered and they responded by saying IT COULD BE REGISTERED AND WAS CALIFORNIA LEGAL. after i received it i took it to the dmv to register it and the dmv refused to do so and said that it did not meet california's emission control standards. i immediately contacted the scooter co. and they told me that they would contact the manufactuer and get me what is needed to register the scooter. everytime i spoke to them i was told that the manufactuer was going to send another vin plate that said the scooter was california legal and they wanted me take off the old vin plate and replace it with a fake one. later, the scooter co. refused to communicate with me when i tried to arrange to ship it back. i opened dispute with my credit card co.and the scooter co.told them that i still had the scooter and refused to give it back and chase rebilled my acct.

I need to apply for emergency funds and I thought I heard that people can now apply online for a private loan. Does anyone know about these programs and the websites I can go to? I checked on yahoo.com and it was not alot of help.

I am 17 years old. I earn an average of $400-$500/week in income, sometimes more. This is obviously way above-average pay for my age. I am a senior in high school, graduating in 3 months. I will then be able to work full-time and hopefully find a better job, making ~ $3,000-$4,000/month, before going to college either PT or FT next year.

Anyway, my parents have refused to co-sign a car loan for me. I am not really sure why, and it bugs me.

I already lied on a couple credit card applications and have two credit cards (a Visa and AMEX) in good standing.

My credit score is just above 700.

What are the potential consequences of, say, "mis-typing" the birth year on an online Capital One Auto Finance application for about $7,500?

If I pay my payments on-time and in whole every month, will they care/investigate the matter further?

Also, do they ALWAYS require proof of identification, i.e. driver's license, when applying for a secured/car loan?

Thank you.

On three occaisions, Equifax "verified" inaccurate information in my credit report in violation of the fair credit reporting act. I am ready to hire a lawyer and sue for seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars for defamation and damages for emotional distress. And I was denied credit as a result of their inaccurate reporting. Have you heard of, or have you won, a suit in similar circumstances?
Thanks.

How on the earth does the CRA know how much we make? I mean its not listed on any one of the credit reports... My husband is the sole provider and he received numerous raises just this month (promoted 2x this month).. How do they know of the debt to ratio income if we have not told them? If we have not applied for credit in many many months? How does this figure in?
We are trying to raise our score for our house that we are gonna purchase in april of 2008. And trying to understand all aspects of credit....

Where (within San Francisco, CA) could I get a visa gift card with the cheapest activation fee that DOESN'T require me to pay with a debit, credit card, or bank account?
I'm not old enough to have a credit card, not sure how debit card really works, and don't have access to my bank account. Also, I can't travel to other cities to receive the card, though if it was by mail it might work.

I've looked around the Walgreens site and they require about $10 for the activation and it seems a little pricey considering I only want to put about $50 in the card.
