There are many credit cards designed for people in your situation. If you have little or no credit, you can apply for an 'unsecured' credit card with no security deposit. Or, you can apply for a 'secured' credit card where your credit line is backed up by a deposit. A secured credit card is much easier to get, but it may not be as attractive since security deposits can be anywhere from $300 to several thousand dollars.
I would recommend applying for the Orchard Bank Platinum Mastercard first. This is an unsecured offer (with no security deposit). The big advantage: Orchard will offer you a secured credit card if you don't qualify for their unsecured offer. You can find it here:

OR: Are you a student? Many issuers offer credit cards designed for students with little or no income. You can find a complete list here:

Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!

Apply for a reward credit card:
Reward credit cards reward you depending on the amount you spend on the credit card. Usually, you can collect rewards through 3 methods. One method involves earning cash back on the card, which is generally a certain percentage of each amount you spend. The next method involves giving points or any other type of token to the customers to accrue. They can then redeem these points for gifts like luggage, cosmetics and other goodies that the credit card company offers. Most of these reward schemes have alluring gifts and huge variety of selections. But the better option is to go for a cash back reward as it allows you to use the money any way you like.

Don't apply, Turn downs work against you. If in collage, they will come to you. Your best bet is to go to Bank America , Deposit $300.00 and get a secured credit line. You can borrow your own money back immediately . After 18 months the free up your money with interest and increase your credit line . That is as long as you keep up your monthly payments up
Good luck

Go to a bank and apply. Then goto another bank and apply. Whichever ones accepts you that has the cheapest annual interest rate, then take the card and use it only when you have to. Watch out, buying things you can't afford to pay back will ruin your credit for life! LIFE!

Keep in mind, credit cards are not free money. You have to repay them. I would get a low interest credit card. Shop around. Watch out for ones that charge you annually for having the credit card. You can really screw up your future by using any credit card without the ability to pay them back. Im shocked you were not already sent credit card offers in the mail. Only use the credit card when you have the money to pay it back. Its so easy for people in your age group to get a credit card use it to get whatever they want and before they know it they are up to debt to their eyeballs. Don't go that route. If you do get one, make sure you have the money to pay off your purchases. Your goal is to build your credit, not to ruin it. The way you build your credit is using a credit card very very wisely. Be smart with your money. Credit cards are not free money, however, if you use them wisely, and pay them off quickly, you will build your credit score. Bottom line, don't use them to pay for a 3 grand purchase when you know darn well you don't have that kind of money in your possession. Smart spending will make better credit which in turn will make a better future for you. Good Luck

You can apply online. Look for student cards. And get a checking account so you can write checks to pay your bill.
