Is there a way for someone to sign over their paycheck to you and deposit and/or cash it in your own bank account? If so, how does this work? Do you just need to sign the back of it?

Yes have them endorse the back - saying it's payable to you - then deposit via your atm....that way they won't ask any questions.

Generally once the person the check is written to endorses(signs) the back of the check it can be cashed/deposited by anyone. This is why you never want to sign a check until you are ready to have it deposited.

However, remember that if you are depositing a check for someone any problems that come are now your problems. So if by some reason the check bounces your account will be liable. If they are trying to do this to get around some legal issue you may be found out and have more problems. There are also some scams out there that will have you deposit a check, they then get a cancelled check back and have all of the info to wipe you out. So unless you know who the person do not even think of doing this.

Remember they are using your account to make the check good until the check clears.
