I am applying for several new jobs and I do have my degree, but they cannot release it to my as I have not yet cleared up my debt with the University I went to.

Will a new company ask to see proof or a copy of my degree before hiring me?

This probably sounds like generally a stupid question to even ask.

I work part-time, but at the moment I'm working nearly full-time hours. 34-36 hours a week, and it's a bit too much for me. I have too much going on in life, but the thing is, I know that I'm needed at work. This is just a part-time job for this year while I attend to some things and research more about courses for next year. My employers seem pretty set on having me in at these hours, but I honestly cannot do it anymore. It may seem low, but I really need 20-25 hours a week, and nothing more.

At least now in my life.

How do I go about bringing this up in the most polite way I can?

I'm nervous when it comes to these things.

I'd consider this sexual harrassment... I was at work the other day. I went to use the washroom, while in there an older man 30-40 walked in. I was in the stall, of course, and he started called me stuff like, ******, and I was just like, what the hell. It was probably the most uncomfortable moment in my entire life, especially because I was in the bathroom.

Anyways, the guy must have used the urinal. He washed up, and then threw his pissy paper towel over the stall at me, and turned the lights off, and called me a ****** again. I mean. Clearly the guy had something terminally wrong with him. No one does that, and I'm still scarred. Like seriously. I can't even use that washroom anymore. I go to another one, because that wasn't just awkward, I felt so violated.

I haven't told my employers yet, because I'm not one to start one, but I'm seriously considering quitting now just because I feel so uncomfortable.

What would you do?

No this isn't a joke.

The company I used to work for told me I was vested in my retirement 100% (and I had worked there 3 yrs. to have that) when I turned in my resignation. Well now 1 year later I tried to transfer my funds and the people over the company now say my contract said I have to be there 5 yrs and I did not even work a complete 3 yrs. (28 days short). Well, the papers from TransAmerica show 100% all the way down to March 2007 and now all of a sudden the company has had it changed to 0%. I was told and TransAmerica said they had to be told I was vested 100% for them to put that. Can they change it without notifying me and did they do anything legally wrong. There has been other rumors about this whole situation and I am interested if I can fight this. Any opinions. If I did not give information you need, ask and I will update. Thanks!!

My youngest sister she is 15 started her first job at a local grocery store working part- time as a baker she recently quit because of school. The thing is they never paid her with a check it was pure cash this grocery store been around for 20 years pretty decent store paying everyone under the table not just her. Just wondering is it cheaper to do it that way or what? I never got a job that doesn't pay without taking taxes or checks with hrs. I was just wondering whatsup with that?

Here's my short story: I've been going to college for about 9 years now. Yes 9 years. I've had to work 40+ hours to maintain my family and pay for college. I had to take a few semesters off during my college career to take on two jobs (80+ hours) in order to pay off school, and bills. Well I'm finally graduating this fall with a 2.82 G.P.A.(bachelors in Finance) and would like to attend graduate or law school sometime in the future. I would like to attend a top university(University of Chicago, Wharton, Harvard Business School) but my concern is that the low gpa wont help my cause. Hypothetically if I did really well on my Gmat, would that help any? Thanks

I understand on how important the credit score is when applying for an unsecured loan, a home, financing a car or trying to get a credit card but why is it a factor for job consideration? So any Human Resource people and/or Hiring Managers care to respond and explain why a person's credit score even comes into play?

I am aggressively searching for a job. My background is great, I have lots of experience, computer literate (94% Excel, 98% PowerPoint, 99% Word). I am an intermediate web designer (HTML, CSS, DHTML, and JavaScript. My English is not native but my last grammar/spelling text I scored a strong 98/96 respectively. 59wpm typing. I have a BA in Arts and I’m going for my second degree. I speak 3 languages. I am not clueless about my looks, I am very careful about that. I dress professionally and I have a polished look. I am not asking for a fortune as far as salary goes. I get good Companies interviewing me, yet I can get the job. What am I doing wrong? Maybe because I don’t talk too much? How do you behave during an interview??? What makes you get the job???

One of my co-workers is stealing. This person works the bar and is taking cash. For example: Selling 4 beers charging for them but only entering 2 sales into the register. I have personally witnessed this. What do I do, just let it continue and hope the boss catches this person or let the boss know? I'm stymied. I would appreciate any suggestions from you folks.

Work related question. If you stumbled into a help wanted ad and in your gut you know you can do the job standing on your head, however your resume doesn't live up to the job discription and you've been without work for say 2 years, would it be useless to apply? At this point I feel hopeless, I tell myself why even bother I already know the routine.

It seems like I never get any recognition for the things that I do well at work. I try to focus less on getting credit for all of my work, and try to focus more on getting the job done and done well. Although I have done a good job on a lot of my work, I never try to publicize it intentionally to my boss. It seems that a lot of other people intentionally try to make it known that they did a good job on projects. Is it understood that when you do a good job, that you should let your boss know of this? I'd feel like a showoff if I were to do this all the time, but at the same time, it feels like a lot of other people are advancing because they do do this.
