please offer me your suggestions. i have no idea what to major in. And i dont want to make the same mistake as an undergrad: philosophy. I want to open my own business some day.

I understand that you felt that way. I pursue an undegrad career in philosophy as well. But I really don't think you give the program the justice it deserves. Pursuing the degree and finishing it should not be considered a mistake because I really believe that Philosophy could bring you to a lot of places - be it management or law or anything for that matter. If you are thinking of starting your own business, MBA is the right track for you. There are lots of programs out there and all of them are equally interesting...but how interesting it could be for you depends on your line of interest.

I value education, but is the expense of grad school going to catapult your salary/earnings enough to justify it? Furthermore, the amount that grad school will cost you - why not start your own business and @ worst, if it fails it will probably cost you less than the price of grad school for 2 semesters. Learning from your mistakes is a better education than sitting in a classroom for 1 hr and 50 minutes twice a week, cramming info in your head that you will forget as soon as you turn in your exam. Be an employer not an employee!

Go to business school and get an MBA.
