My job was terminated and taken back east. I received a severance package. The same company has called me for interview, a different position and I was awarded the job. Now, my company may be bought out. If I return the severance, I am reinstated with 18 yrs service, if I do not, I start all over again as a new employee. The severance is a hefty one and my concern is what if my company is bought out and what if I get terminated again, what type of package if any will the new company provide? My thought is to keep package and start as new employee.

My employer has just asked me to basically use the work of someone else as if it were ours. I'm really uncomfortable doing this but have a family to support. I've voiced my concerns to my employer - he doesn't really care what I think about it (just do it). Advice?

Let's say you are a 28 year old guy living in Tennessee. How much per year or hour, week, etc is needed for that one person (no dependants, etc.) to live an average living. You would think minimum wage at full time hours should ideally be enough, but our society is screwed up and I don't see how this is possible at 5.15 per hour. After taxes, you make like 3.85 an hour! How can you pay rent, car note, car insurance, phone, electricity, water, food, gas, and other random day to day living expenses. Is 8.00 an hour enough? 10.00? What do you all make an hour around this age and how are you surviving? Am I doing something wrong, but I'm honestly living paycheck to paycheck and some days have to go without dinner and such just to make it that extra day because something came up, like the power bill is more than usual or the like. I make 10 an hour (40 hrs week). Am I bad with money or is this normal? What do you guys make and what are your expenses? Do you live comfortably or no?

I'm working on my References Sheet for career induction. I currently Have 3, all good, all pre-asked people with solid but separate relationships to me. One is a previous manager, one is a current co-worker, and the other is a freelance client. All with extremely separate job titles at the moment. The only thing that concerns me is they are all from my current place of employment. Does this not show enough diversity? Should I possibly have a previous employer’s manager or a professor of mine listed - even if these references are expired?? I would like to use them but should I limit my reference sheet to 3 or is it possibly overkill to have 5? 5 Would be perfect considering the accreditation of these people I just don't want to set-up an improper reference sheet.

I have a big problem. I just got offered a job last night. The job pays $14 an hour (about 29,000) a year and it includes benefits (full medical dental etc.) The positives are I will not have to pay out of pocket for any healthcare and it includes yearly raises and bonuses anywhere from 1,000-on up depending on how well the company does that year and the job is five minutes from my house. I have been working at a temp agency for over 2 years making between $16-18 an hour with no benefits and I hate it! I don’t have my bachelors degree yet but I am working on it. The major problem is I just brought my first house and I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to have to struggle working 2 or more jobs but I have been applying for jobs for over 5 months and this is my first offer! What should I do?

Please help!

Have you ever had problems with a supervisor or a coworker? Describe the situation for me. How did you resolve the conflict?

Describe some times when you were not very satisfied or pleased with your own performance. What did you do about it?

ok. I rarely, if ever drink. But I'm awefully nervous at first when I meet people. Hence I don't come off as confident during many of my interviews (that also depends on which foot I woke up). I rarely, if ever, drink . ( like... once every 3 - 7 weeks- and that only started after I graduated). I'm not talking about going to the interview smashed but "Happy"
