What exactly is a Scholarship? And how does it work? My from understanding..its something that gives you financial support for your studies, right?

Do they cover your living cost aswell, or just your school fees basically?

Do international scholarships work in the same way?

So then what happens after you´re finished studying, do you have to pay back the money you got from your scholarship after you´ve gotten a job and everything?

And i know this is kind of a stupid question but.. im asking this because..i kind of really dont know if im asking all of the right questions or if i know enough about scholarships and everything..so If i wanted to apply for an international scholarship, what kind of questions should i be asking? I mean should i get some financial advice? Are scholarships subject-specific or can i choose any subject?

I went to an assessment day at a company on the 5th of march. While I was there, I asked when I oculd expect to hear from them and they said they would let everyone know at the end of the following week. So I waited- nothing. This monday I contacted one of their HR people to ask about their decision and they said they would be in touch with all candidates before the end of this week.
Now its friday, mid day, and I still havent heard from them. I dont even think i got the job, because then they would surely have told me earlier? what I want to know is when is it ok to call the company and ask?

He had a dream about me riding a wild bull and I kept riding it and didn't fall off. He told me this on two different occasions and he really enjoyed telling it. I just walked away and went back to my desk. He also has made comments to me about how beautiful he thinks I am and how nice I look on certain days.

is struggling to take a firm decission in his life to so i let u put here his problem please provide him the best way to come out of the situation.

as he have completed his masters in computers around two and half years back,he struggled to get oppertunity in software field..but finally he got placed in a reputed s/w company 6 months back as a s/w engineer on java technology(he is familier with theorotical knowledge in java,he didn't have project/technical experience)..unfortuantely due to sever family problems he couldn't turn up to office last 3 months...please tell us how to get the project expericne(if he is going to quit the present office)is there any company or institue that offers java project in bangalore so that he will learn with that and he will try his best to get settled....so please can any one kindly provide the companies or instutes that provide proejct kind of experience in bangalore.

I've heard it was 20 to 50 bucks. Is this base pay plus tips? Then you have to deduct your gas? If so, WOW.

Im currently a software eng. in for the big bucks, but its not very satisfying so want to change career. I score highly in analytical skills and language, and have interests in design/art/society/life and my passion was astrophysics (which i had to give up)... I left on bad terms with previous employer and she refuses to give a reference for me. I understand she can legally do this but can she tell the other staff not to fill one in on my behalf. I know for a fact if we had left on better terms and I asked for a reference she would not do it herself and she would pass it on anyway - she is just doing this out of spite.

I use the example of Microsoft - I would not ask Bill Gates to fill in my CV anway would I, I would ask someone I worked under ie. Office Manager not the MD.

Okay, so I work for a company that does a service for retailers, and while I was on a lunch break, I got this brilliant idea to take a few tokes. I know, smarth thinking, huh? Well anyways, I proceeded to take a few hits from my pipe. Long story short, I was caught on tape by the security via cameras in the parking lot. They inform my manager and asked for me to leave the premises, so I did. Surprisingly my manager was way cool about it. Meanwhile, the incident was reported to my District Manager and heres where I'm stuck. My D.M. asked me to write him a statement of the incident. But here's the tricky part, and these are his words exactly, " I'm not telling you to admit to anything or to not admit to it. I'm going to leave that up to you to figure out." And basically as soon as I give this statement or letter of apology ( not really sure which route to take) they can put me back on the work scheduale. I'M IN DESPERATE NEED OF SOME GOOD ADVICE/TIPS ON HOW I SHOULD GO ABOUT THIS.

Hi guys,

I am having trouble choosing a future career. I am a college student, but have not chose the major yet.

I have taken two test, one is MBTI test, and the other one is U&I.

From the tests above, I have talent on the career that deals with the machenical things. But I do not want to end up woking in the factories, etc., because in today's world, the manufacturing industry does not make the "lots" of money.

In today's world, the financial and the "corporate administrations", etc., making loads of money. Plus, I like living in the big cities like L.A. or N.Y., but those manufacturing facilities are located on outside of the big cities.

My question is this; do you recommend any kind of test that reveals what kind of career I want deep inside of my mind?

After having a hysterectomy in my early 20s I developed pain and bleeding 2 years later. I was rushed in for an emergency MRI scan and was off work pending a cancer diagnosis. Work pressured me to tell then what was wrong so I told them it was cancer and that I would be having radiotherapy. I have now found out that the cells they found were actually endometrial and not cancerous. They are trying me with daily hormone injections and if that fails a short course of radiotherapy (not guarenteed. Work have been very good but want a full drs report. How do I now tell them I don't have cancer...do you think they will understand? My GP is happy to say I was being tested for cancer but obviously the bottom line is I told them something not true and I'm scared to admit that I'm now fine. They were treating the cancer as mitigating circumstances but will this condition be seen as the same. I'm so scared of telling them but they will find out from the report if I dont tell them. any advise?

GCSE's I have attained: Bio/Chem/Phys C/C/C; Eng. Lang. A; Eng. Lit. B; Maths B; Statistics B; Media Studies B; History C; Graphic Design C; Religious Studies C

I've tried college, but it just isn't for me, and all the jobs I think I could apply for need referees from a previous job, when I haven't even had one yet!

I'm not particulary bothered where I would get one, as long as I could do the job. I've tried online recruitment sites, but those just seem to be more confusing than anything.

Is there anyone out there who could help?
