Most Ambulance Trusts advertise their jobs on the main jobs site.

If you have a C1/D1 cat clean driving license this would be an advantage. Some Trusts do offer training for this but obviously if you obtained it before you applied. Also try something like St Johns Ambulance for experience which also looks good. Speaking from experience I know Ambulance Trust jobs are difficult to find. I'm just about to start an Emergency Medical Dispatcher then hopefully move to driving. Good Luck!

My husband looked into becoming a ambulance drive it might be a idea to become a voluntary ambulance driver first also the nhs have a great website to find jobs do a search on nhs careers and that should bring up the website. Hope this helps.

These kind of jobs are very few and far between. generally nowadays if you want to be a paramedic you do a degree.

Wait until they advertise in your local paper. They will do this when they have a number of vacancies but be prepared for the fact that 100's of people will apply.

I noticed many municipalities have their own EMS systems thru their fire departments. Many others are switching or are implementing their emergency systems to include a privately contracted ambulance service to transport the ill. Check along the employment with the fire departments around your municipality. Consider working with a fire department who will provide the necessary training for achieving your goal of a paramedic.
