He had a dream about me riding a wild bull and I kept riding it and didn't fall off. He told me this on two different occasions and he really enjoyed telling it. I just walked away and went back to my desk. He also has made comments to me about how beautiful he thinks I am and how nice I look on certain days.

it sounds from your description that he's hitting on you. Saying "you look nice today" is different than telling you that you look beautiful and he has dreams about you.

Here's the difficult thing that you need to do - tell him that he is making you uncomfortable and ask him to stop. Make a note to yourself of what happened and the day(s) on which it did.

If he continues after you've asked him to stop, go to your HR person or to the Department of Fair Employment and Housing if you don't have an HR person. File a sexual harassment complaint. Sexual harassment is against the law and if he is making you uncomfortable with sexual innuendo at work it is time he learned that there are unpleasant consequences to hitting on employees who aren't interested.

By law, it is allowed the first time. In a lot of cases, women put up with it or may even joke about it, but in other cases women don't appreciate it -- depends upon your preference.

But, legally...

The second time, if you are uncomfortable with his questions and demeanor, it is no longer exceptable and can be considered immediately for sexual harrassment. YOU HAVE TO TELL HIM THIS !!! If you don't, it could be construed as acceptance of this type of harrassment on your part by the courts.

that is totally unusual. i've got in basic terms been that on the brink of my boss as quickly as and it replaced into after he moved to a distinctive keep (purely before that, he does not even plenty as eat lunch on the comparable table as workers in public because of the fact he observed it as incorrect). i might in basic terms see this as suitable if the two one in each of you had already accepted a friendship outdoors of the area of work or had labored jointly for years and had reached that convenience zone. Going off of what you're asserting, it surely isn't suitable.

sounds like he wants you more than you know. I would watch it because it sounds like you are heading down sexual harassment lane...

I think that it is okay to say "hey you look nice" on occasion... or "what did you do differently" Compliments are one thing but adding that dream in is another...

Good luck

I would be looking for that raise/ promotion like the first answer. If you really cant stand it report it to HR.

If it really makes you uncomfortable (and I understand why it would), document it, and tell him that it makes you uncomfortable (and document that). If it continues, take it to your HR organization, with the list of incidents, and that you've asked him to stop.

He's obviously (well not too obvious) making sexual suggestions. Of course it's not ok for him to say that to you....
