I went to an assessment day at a company on the 5th of march. While I was there, I asked when I oculd expect to hear from them and they said they would let everyone know at the end of the following week. So I waited- nothing. This monday I contacted one of their HR people to ask about their decision and they said they would be in touch with all candidates before the end of this week.
Now its friday, mid day, and I still havent heard from them. I dont even think i got the job, because then they would surely have told me earlier? what I want to know is when is it ok to call the company and ask?

You did fine...wait out the deadline like they told you and then call back and inquire. Be nice and polite ...it shows you are interested in the job.
