43 words per minute is not fast. I once knew a person the could type 120 wpm without mistakes. That's fast, and pretty amazing to watch.
But 40 wpm (my speed) is plenty fast enough in today's world. The person that could type 120 wpm was an old school secretary that used to take dictation and then type up letters for her boss. This is an old and dying breed of career. Today everyone types their own stuff, so as long as you can get what you want to say into the computer speed isn't that much of an issue.

Average i'd say. Maybe a little below. I never understood the wpm deal anyway. Most people don't sit there and type and type and type. Companies have software, usually Access based or some type of form that they're tabbing thru, etc.
If you wanna increase your wpm, simply practice every day. Type a paragraph or two in Word. It'll pick up for you. My wpm is 85, but, it doesn't really mean anything because even I don't sit and type for days on end. :)

not too fast. That is about my speed not counting errors. It was not good enough to get an A in typing in high school, only a B. If I recall correctly (it was a long time ago) 45 wpm was the minimum for an A. Fast typists can do easily 60 wpm.

Well, 40 wpm is the standard for passing a state given typing test. (That's the same for most jobs.) But it doesn't hurt to practice, because a lot of places will also care about your error rate.
I type 76 WPM with an average of 1 error.

No. You might want to get checked for learning disorders.
Just kidding.
43 wpm is OK, especially if you're young.
If you can double that then you're golden.

Its about average, as long as your accuracy is good, that is a decent speed. I am at almost 65wpm but I type all day long. But it's like anything else, the more you do it, the better you get. You can practice online to improve too!

Ok but not great. 60 wpm is the standard; a fast typist can get close to 100 wpm.

Not great. I believe a fast typer will be somewhere of at least 75wpm.
