Looking for a corporate-type marketing job and trying to prepare myself...how to write a resume, cover letter, how to talk in an interview, etc. and really understanding what an employer wants will help me a lot in the process.
Thanks a lot :)

I have been with my company "The Childrens Place", for over 6-months. I helped them open/build the store when it came to our mall.

In that time I have been faithful and gone above and beyond being just a Sale Associate..(I have been told this by not only my Mangers but my DSM).

Yet..In 6-months I have yet to get a Pay-Raise..(still at $7.50).
Is this common? Or am I maybe being un-greatful.

Please give me your opinion.

I work with a woman that finds fault and complains frequently. She yells. She curses. She tries to boss everyone around(and she is not in management).
If you say 'Hello' to her, she complains that you should say 'Good morning'; if you say 'Good morning', she complains that you are not minding your own business. She starts projects and then interupts others at work because she needs help. If the projects succeed, it is all due to her despite the ineptness of the help she received; if the projects fail, then she blames and criticizes eveyone. She accuses eveyone of being a racist.
Do not advise avoiding her- she comes and finds me. Do not advise seeking help from management-they are terrified she will sue for something/anything.

Country Club?
Has anyone worked at a Country Club before? What was your experience? Your job? How much did you get paid? Where you treated badly by the members?

I'm thinking about getting a job at a Country Club as a server in the dining hall and a member of the banquet staff for private parties.

I'm wondering how much money I will make. Do rich people tip well?

If a person gets fired for an unknown reason without warning what rights does the employee have. Is there a procedure a company must follow before he can fire someone? What legal rights does the fired employee have if he was let go without warning.

My job treats me badly but its nearly impossible to find one that can replace it that pays as well. I also don't like the online school I'm going to. What I'd like to do is quit, go to school full time, and then start a profitable career after graduation. The only problem is my finances. My husband can support me through this a little, but we can't afford to pay all the bills and support our 6 mos old daughter on his salary alone though. I feel stuck but I can't go on like this. I recognize I need to make some changes in my life, but where do I start?

I need ideas on possible questions they might ask me. I was totally unprepared for the last interview. I had never had an interview like that before. I didn't do very well, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a job interview but decided not to accept it and stay at my current job, current job knows I had a interview but decided not to take it.

Will they make it hard on me now?

Will they fire me now?

Or do you think they could care less and everything will be normal?
