To genuinely convert a PDF to a WORD document, you will need program -- either Adobe Acrobate (standard or professional version depending on other options you need) or PDF Converter (Scansoft).

Sometimes, if it is not locked or otherwise protected, you can Edit>Select All and Copy (Use Ctrl+C or right click after you have the text selected and choose copy) and Paste (Ctrl+V or Right Click and choose paste).

This generally will not retain any layout settings, formatting. It may or may not retain the graphics.

.PDF (Portable Document File) is intended to be easily viewed on any computer, but not easily edited by any computer.

Why not use PDF Converter 4?

It will do the job for you in both directions.
