It is from 10:00pm to 6:30am, can anyone tell me if they have done it? I have never worked that shift in my life, I am 50. how hard and long would it take to get used too. is it easy? low stress? any one with these hours can answer, not just home depot people.
Do the hours go by fast, my brother said they did but he only worked til 4:00am those last 2-1/2 hours could be killer?
And I found out you have to do it for 90 days until they will even consider you for something else. daytime or 2nd shift no problem for me, but 90 days of Graveyard? Ouch!! Or I can tell the guy, and take a chance. I'll wait but thank you. because he told me I could wait and see if something else comes up down the road. It was my choice. BUT I know if you leave before the 90 days you are out for good! It is a tough choice.
any suggestions, or experience storys.
Thank you very much

I meant, how do I find a job that I really like, and I'm able to stick with it? I have found 2 jobs I am thinking of doing, as I get older, the 1st one is to go to school to be a Plastic Surgeon, the 2nd one is to go to school be a Teacher. How do I choose which job I want to do?

Ok I'm trying to find out about a couple of things. I'm 22, live in NYC, my dream is in the film business (acting/writing, etc), I have a completed script I'm showcasing at the moment, however it is a hard business to break into so I'm also working on a "back-up plan" in case things take too long of don't go as planned -- Business Administration or Medical Billing.

I like Medical Billing because you can take that for just 1-2 years and start making $35K +, but I also love Business Admin cuz there's a lot more flexibility as the degree is generic but they say you need a BACHELORS in it to really get anything out of it. Maybe if I was 18 or 19, I wouldnt mind studying something for 4 years, but I'm 22 and don't wanna waste 4 years studying a high end degree while making $12-$15 an hour at some non-degree job, you feel me? Gotta get into the $20s + an hour, thats the only way to live. Is it possible to start an associates degree work while u finish the other 2 years?

I am about to start negotiating salary / bonus for a new position (800 miles away). This is a director position (healthcare), covering a geographical area emcompassing 5 states. I have never had this kind of opportunity, so I need some tips on salary and sign-on bonus negotiating.
What should I ask for? What other things do I consider when negotiating? I am a nurse...so what kind of sign-on bonus should I seek?

Any other relevant advice or idea's welcome!

When I graduated college, a lot of my friends discouraged me from going into sales because they told me that I should go find a "real job". Up until this day, a lot of people that I know still hold the same perspective - that sales is not considered a serious and a good career choice. Why is that?

Here's the story.
I hosted a VIP Event, and had a few cocktails myself (it was my birthday, and i was extremely nervous). Bosses didn't like it, so they fired me for "other misconduct" . i am currently interviewing (i am on my final interview) with a well known bank to be an administrative assistant, and they are going to do a background check. i told them i worked for the company (didn't say i was fired) and left for personal reasons. will this firing from my previous 2 month job (i was still on the 90 probation period) show up in my background check? if no one knows, should i do the background check my self so i can quit worrying about it?

need to know? I need two professional reference letters, and I wonder other than confirming that they can write a good reference for me and have good knowledge about my working abilitiy that do they need to specifically address the letter to a specific company or employer or tailor it to the type of position? Aren't reference letters supposed to be versatile enough to use for any job or school you apply for within your fields of work?

I started working with a company that is over 20 years old and rated satisfactory with the BBB. I have paid for some leads, enrolled friends and family but looking to expand and help others in need of extra income learn how to build their own home-based business. There are so many scams out there that I can not find a way to reach people about a legitimate work from home program. Any ideas?

Have worked at my workplace for nearly 19 years. Have recently found out, through manager, that my work performance has been slack (unbeknownst to me). My co-workers never mentioned to me about their issues, just went straight to management about it. I feel like I've been backstabbed. Manager has given me 30 days to improve. What would you do? Look elsewhere? Confront co-workers? Let me know.
