Am I obliged to declare that they have paid me a full months salary when I'm not entitled to the money as I no longer work for them? It appears to be a payroll dept mistake! Wondered if it will be picked up at audit around new tax year - does anyone know where I legally stand with this one?
Any relevant/sound advice would be appreciated :)

Salary would be USD7.00 per hour (minimum).
But I plan to get a second job.
So I will be working 7 days per week for about 8 to 10 hours per day.
Accomodation is not included, I have 4 roommates with me.
Food also is not included.

So you want a day off. Let's take a look at what you are asking for. There are 365 days per year available for work. There are 52 weeks per year in which you already have 2 days off per week, leaving 261 days available for work. Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available. You spend 30 minutes each day on coffee break which counts for 23 days each year, leaving only 68 days available. With a 1 hour lunch each day, you used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for work. You normally spend 2 days per year on sick leave. This leaves you only 20 days per year available for work. We are off 5 holidays per year, so your available working time is down to 15 days. We generously give 14 days vacation per year which leaves only 1 day available for work and I'll be darned if you are going to take that day off!

I have a big fat fork in the road.. and I need some advice please. I would love to be psychologist and help people who want more satisfaction from life, but on the other hand, I would love to do something really creative and pursue art. Ever since I was little I loved to draw and have gotten many complements on my "natural, or God given talent". That's what some have told me anyway.. but I don't know. As much as I love art it seems unsteady and I always have to give it my full attention. I also want to really help people who feel trapped or even suicidal (because there's nothing that I feel more strongly for). I love people and I hate to see them feel helpless and alone. But I feel if I somehow did both it wouldn't work out. Like each I need to dedicate all my time too... any suggestions? Thanks... :] (Oh I'm a freshman in college btw.. so I'd like to figure it out soon).

I am currently testing out Phych. care in the nursing setting. I like my D.O.N. and the job pays almost as much as my age but the peolple in which I care for...the get upset(agitated) and hit. I have been hit (in the jaw and eye) x2. Pushed with w/c backs x3 and just ran ragged honestly. My schedule is perfect but I am small about 115lbs & 5'1. The people are so much bigger than me most of the time. What would you do?

I work in a medical centre as a receptionist. I cannot dictate to the drs how long their appointments have to be, nor can I book more people in if the drs are over booked. Yet everyone seems to think that all i do is sit at my computer and do nothing. I get abused, sworn at and I have to sit here and take it with a smile on my face. Why is it that people are like this? If I could help I would, but sometime nothing can be done. I love my job, and the people I meet, but there is that one person that makes me think about leaving because I am just sick of it.....

I've had my tongue pierced since I was 18, and I am now 25. I've enjoyed it and all but at 25 I feel like maybe I'm too old to have that sort of piercing. I've graduated college and am now pursuing serious employment in my chosen field and I worry that potential employers may notice and be put off by it. I'm a little torn about getting rid of it. Part of me feels like I'm giving up part of my youth by getting rid of it, another part says it's time to move on. Opinions? No rudeness please. Thanks.

At a fast food restaraunt that I worked at, they made us sign an agreement at orientation that says if we are short more than 5$, we will get terminated or over 8$ we will get terminated. However, they don't follow this and expect me to pay back 22$ for being short. Is it ethical to do this?
