Land developers don't really need a specific degree , but the skills & connections to be in a position to attract clients w property they wish developed.

An understanding of business law , building codes & ordinances , & a strong background in the contracting trades like carpentry, plumbing , electrician , architectural design. And perhaps most critical, Finance & Real estate.

I suppose if you had a degree in Civil Engineering, or Agriculture you can easily develop land.
