I also had my tounge pierced when I ws 18 and kept until I was 23 (my job wouldn't allow it) I know everyones body is different, but to this very day I can still slide that bar through. Oh yeah, that was 5 years ago. So take it out for a bit, if you miss it put it back. If not maybe you have just grown out of that phase in your life.

i got my tongue pierced when i was a freshman in high school.. I'm now 19(sophomore in college) and i took mine out maybe a year ago.. it was sad.. i loved it sooo much but i felt that i grew out of it.
also I'm going to school to be an RN and i didn't feel it was appropriate for my line of work... esp. a piercing in your mouth which is very visible when you speak!
i all depends on what your doing an how you feel... you will get looked at strangely but it is a form of self expression.
do what you feel is right.. take it out, c how u feel.. you'll have a couple of days before the hole starts to close! :-)

Well, I think that you shouldn't move it yet. Wait a little longer to take it off so you can have a couple more years with it. Not all jobs are like that. But it's really your choice but if I were you I wouldn't take it off quite yet. Wait a couple of more years like I said or maybe if you want, you can take it off sooner meanwhile. Good luck finding a job!

absolutely
keeping it shows your immaturity and no decent employer ( sort of a strip club ) will hire you with that aspect in mind,
eventually some people grow up an mature and go foward in life, some don't and forever are stuck in the past and in some sort of comfort zone where it's safer for them rather than dealing with modern life situations sans tatoo's piercings and what not

Depending on what kind of job you are going for - if it is a professional job, then yes as they will think you are too much trying to hang on to your "youth" and it will hurt your chances -- the whole immature, rebel, etc thing; right or wrong - fact of life

If you are undecided, get a retainer. They aren't overly pricey & this is great for interviews & while you're at work. No one will know your little secret.
Then on the weekends when you wanna cut loose, break out your barbell.
: )

Ok I think it is a wonderful idea to remove it. You are right with that some employers won't hire for things like tha. I would I had one. I hope this helped:)

You have to think of the pros and cons. If it's going to prevent you from getting a job, then I would take it out. But otherwise, hey, keep it!
