Ok I'm trying to find out about a couple of things. I'm 22, live in NYC, my dream is in the film business (acting/writing, etc), I have a completed script I'm showcasing at the moment, however it is a hard business to break into so I'm also working on a "back-up plan" in case things take too long of don't go as planned -- Business Administration or Medical Billing.

I like Medical Billing because you can take that for just 1-2 years and start making $35K +, but I also love Business Admin cuz there's a lot more flexibility as the degree is generic but they say you need a BACHELORS in it to really get anything out of it. Maybe if I was 18 or 19, I wouldnt mind studying something for 4 years, but I'm 22 and don't wanna waste 4 years studying a high end degree while making $12-$15 an hour at some non-degree job, you feel me? Gotta get into the $20s + an hour, thats the only way to live. Is it possible to start an associates degree work while u finish the other 2 years?

You'll never be a Film Business person if you don't put 100% into it. No business is without risk, but the higher the risk the higher the payoff. in other words, MAKE IT WORK. No plan B's, or your plan B's are guaranteed to be your plan A's because you're PLANNING TO FAIL in that case. Steven Spielberg snuck into Warner Brothers Studios to get into the film industry and look where he is now. He named his company "Dreamworks" to prove that what happened to him, his dream, Is possible. Dreams can and Will come true to anyone who will believe in them fully and not be afraid to reach out and touch them. Don't go into this lightly, put your all into it and refuse to quit, anything is possible when you believe, and these aren't just cliches. If you set yourself apart in this way of walking without fear, you'll find things beginning to open up for you where before things were not seeming possible to. A small bit of advice: Watch who your friends are, because you tend to be like them. Aspire for more in your life and improve yourself daily. You'll live the life you have imagined rather than the mediocre life people try to have planned for you by default. When you do this for your life. It'll be Amazing. I promise.
