I had a job interview but decided not to accept it and stay at my current job, current job knows I had a interview but decided not to take it.

Will they make it hard on me now?

Will they fire me now?

Or do you think they could care less and everything will be normal?

You never really want to let your current company know that you are looking elsewhre. It questions your loyalty, and there is a good chance that you will be passed over for any promotions, or worse get get laid off if things are tough.

Really depends on your boss and what is happening with your company. I think it's always good to know what your options are. However, if they know that you even considered something else and are hitting hard times you may be the first they decide to let go.

You may want to have a short discussion with your boss, let him/her know that you don't intend to leave your current employ, but you were interested in learning about this other company. As a result of that meeting you are very sure that your future lays with your current company. Be prepared to talk strategy of your future as well, they need to know your loyalty.

As a supervisor, I wouldn't care,f you were the kind of employee I'd want to keep.

If you weren't , I'd just make a mental note of it for future reference. I'm not a P---- so I'd want to talk to you to tell you i kmow you're looking, so if you need time off for an interview, let me know and please, give me notice if you decide to leave.
