I always dream to be my own boss and now I have the capital to start it but my wife object to it due to the risk. She wanted me to have a stable job working for others.

Start it on the side, show a little bit of success, then your wife will be a little bit more comfortable with you going full time.

Or draw up a business plan and show your wife that you are serious.

Capital is only one part of starting a business. You also need a business plan. Maybe if you put a good business plan together and showed your wife that you really thought things through, then that would ease her risk concerns. She could also get a regular job while you are building your business, then atleast one of you would have a stable income to pay the bills.

You wife is more caring than you...she is thinking of the better future aspect of life.... She feels that the job would give stability to life and would be giving much financial strength as she must be aware of business activities and the time delays and hectic competition in the market.

Remember to a maximum of 3 years hard work (1000 days) a normal business comes into running. 3 years is generally kept for the break even point

Do one thing. Start your venture with your wife managing it till the business gets on running.... you carry on your job. to give the financial support for running the family and regular expenditure properly

the time when your wife feel that she cannot manage the business alone or when she feels that the business is well running then you can leave the job for much faster growth.

This would help you a lot in developing your business... while on one part your wife is managing your business and simultaneously you could be marketing your business while you are on job...

best of luck

the answers above are good .
Congratulations on your wife's common sense. she is wrong about the 'stable job' thing.
start with a business you have worked in part time for at least 2 yrs as an employee, will allow you to pay off any extra bills.
less debt = better success.
after an internship in the business of your choice work 2 more yrs as your own business, pay off more debt.
when your p/t income equals your f/t income for 6 months then go full time in your business.
your bills are paid off , you have 3- 6mths cash reserve, you pay for any business expenses cash only, buying good used when needed. go straight line cash and you will succeed.
