I am 16 and I have had an interview with Starbucks and Radio Shack and I didn't get either job. I know it was because of my answers to the "Describe a time where/ when..." questions. I have no job experience and I am homeschooled so I have no social experience. I am about to graduate in a couple of months and I really need a job so I won't be at home all day, so I can earn my own hard earned money, so I won't be a burden on my mom any more, and so I can get some job and work experience. Can anyone please help me with answering those "Tell me a time when..." questions?

where can I go like a college or school just for 3 months to learn something manual or anything that I can apply as a living but to make money too; I do not mean like be millionaire just to make a good living.

I honestly do not want to spend years going to school as I am not that young and I like being independent as not to have to deal much with too many people or work from home if possible.

I would like to know how should I address an issue about my job who's paying teacher assistants more than the instructors who's been working at the school for years. instructors do more than teachers and I believe it's wrong for any company to do that. If I address the issue they would ask me how did I find out because we are not suppose to discuss salary at the work place. this has been going on dor too long. there's no standards on job qualification. It's like saying surgeons get pay less than janitors, please help me.

I don't want to babysit because I hate kids and would neglect them. I'm not allowed to do anything like newspaper delivering or going door to door selling things or something, or petsitting. I don't belong to any organizations that I could work with like a church. Pretty much all that's left is working with retail or something similar. Any stores/other ideas?

I am in a very good place for employment. This area is high tech and has no surplus workers. I know how to use computers, of course, and have plenty of graduate education with impressive degrees. All but one (library science and I am not interested now) are dated now. With all the buildings of high tech companies here in my neighborhood, you rarely here of a job opening, which is par for the course. What types of positions might be needed and available in these companies for a retired man. I do not need benefits except days off and can work temp, pt, nights, whatever. Maybe I should work for myself? Doing what? Clean record in all respects too.
Would like just ideas if you know something about the subject, but not too many cute answers from those trying to get a simple 2 pts.

Should I still put that company's contact information? Or just his contact information?

He's currently in-between jobs, so would it be okay to just list his personal number and email address?

Thanks.

I'm 38 and burned out. Considering a career change to a financial advisor but am wondering if practicing in a different environment such as taking an outstanding offer to joing a large firm as a partner should be tried first. I have been told from a friend who gave up law that I can potentially make more $ as a FA, have alot lot stress and work alot less hours after the first several years. I would appreciate others' comments - especially any attorneys turned financial advisors out there. I want to get my life back!

Hi there, I was recently "promoted" at work. Problem is, They haven't gotten back with me yet with my new salary, and if I have gone salaried yet at work which they told me I would, but it wasn't official as it had to come from our corporate office. This has been almost a month ago. I emailed my supervisor last week, and she still hasn't gotten back with me. I've been at that company for a year, very reliable person, and I feel i'm not being treated very well through this whole "promotion". Any thoughts on what I should do next? Thanks.
