Careers & Employment - March 2007

I work in audit/healthcare and simply don't want to travel anymore (after seven years). I'd like to be at home sometimes so that I don't lose connections to the people in my life. I don't want to start over in a new field, but at this point I'm considering my options. Thanks!

I have been a security officer and customer service officer, i have to be alert for any trouble on the bus station but now I have to do the cleaning and fear I wont be taken seriously as a security officer if seen cleaning. please don't get me wrong i have great respect for the cleaning profession, i was cleaner for 20 years but now i am a qualified security officer. try imagine me, having a mop and bucket in one hand and telling a group of trouble makers to behave themselves!!!

my brothers wife just moved into our house after spending a year in jail. they have one kid together. the thing is she has no aspirations to become a better person. it was a shock she just came with my bother yesterday and he said she wqas moving in. she used to do crystal meth like alot. today she was talking about doing drugs together she was telling me if i know anyone that sells weed at school. and she even showed me some crystal she has and asked me if i want to try it.
im so confused i dont know what to do. im worried for my brother and his kid.
my brother is currently attending the police academy and just trying to do the best for his family.
i really don know what to do.
please give me some advice

I'm 21 years old and I run my own web design company and I'm wanting to work 12 hours a day. I know some of you may think I'm crazy but I've loved my job since I began websites back 1998. I have goals to achieve.

I plan to work from 10am to 2am with 4 hours of free time in between and 8 hours for sleep (2am to 10am. Such as 1 hour for lunch and exercise. Another hour to just rest and relax. And the the other 2 hours for dinner and social time or whatever else may be going on.

How does that sound?

I was thinking about getting a job as a stripper to help with college costs. Does this make me a bad person? Does it matter if you haven't had any experience? How are you supposed to learn all the things that they do? Any advice or anyone that has done this before would be appreciated. It's not like I have a pole in my bedroom to practice with. I know they buy the clothes to strip in but from where? Do you have audition first in front of the customers? I don't want to look like an *** because I don't know what to do. I want to go into the medical field but I don't know what. I'm hearing all these horrible things about pharmacy. The pay is good but the courses required in college are hard. I don't think I want to become a doctor or nurse either. I'm not smart, just hard working. And what courses are needed for these..in high school.

I'm 31, and working in an advertising agency... this job is really a nice one... but, i'd like to be more than that! Now... anybody has an idea, any proposal will do... I have about 4 years experience in Payroll, one and a half years as an analyst. I have a BA. I am going to get FPC Certified and my boss might let me get Six Sigma Green Belt Certified on company time.

My question is, if I get those Certifications, FPC and Six Sigma Green Belt, how much salary should I be worth?
