after you have an interview with them.... about how many days does it usually take for them to call back to see if i got the job?? I went in tuesday for an interview..so its almost been a week...do you think i could still get a call??

I now got it expunge. SO when i apply for places, i put yes for conviction and explaining it... i put down... case dismiss. (which is what the court told meeh to put down). It's been three months. and i have not found a job. My availability is great. The court said that some company are able to see it and some aren't. What can i do?... I can't seal it because i had to have been a minor when i committed the crime. What should/can i do? SHould i lie on my application?

Not the typical resignation circumstances, but I have been offered a job which I cannot turn down. I definitely need to give 2wk notice to my current employer.... anyone have any reference links to help on a letter of resignation. (I'm assuming I should submit a letter rather than verbally giving notice). Also, do I need to give my reasoning for leaving? If so, what is/is not professionally acceptable..... what's the standard here? Appreciate any answers/suggestions. Thanks

I have a job for a few years now but feeling scared that I will forget all my maths. The other day few high school kids wanted help with their homework and I looked like a fool. Once you find a job is there any point in time you will need the maths? So far my job required a masters degree but I have not used any knowledge beyond the fifth grade. All the maths I need is in a calculator and even the janitor knows how to do it by reading the manual. Should I hire a tutor to refresh my math skills. My friends are worse than me. They forgot not only maths but even the other subjects. All they do in evenings is drink alcohol and chase girls with their fifth grade capability. Is it useless to learn maths in school then? Are the teachers sadists having taking pleasure in punishing us for not doing the useless homework in the past? I look at the kids today lugging their huge texts to school and feel like crying. What to do?

I am tired of being denied jobs because I don't have a high school education. What is worse that I can go sign up at a temp. agency and suddenly I become smart enough to work whereever they choose to send me--for 1/2 the pay! I had a meeting with my boss and he called me a slacker which I felt was a slap in the face. I have been working there for six years and it seems like all the new employees are the ones that are slacking by standing around and talking all day and thus he has lowered my hours to one or two days a week. What should I do?

Each time I get mad or stressed or whatever I start eating. What can I do that will help me stop? I'm frustraed. My room is getting messy. Homework is getting on top of me, and to top all that I'm trying to find a job. I have been ofered to work in a resturant and a resort, but I really don't want to work there. I want a different job. Also, I am in basketball and my coach wants me to go to basketball camp so I can get better at it. So then I can maybe get a scholar ship. I frusrated. Can someone help me please. Thanks.

We just got married not too long ago. I'm working in a call center overnight, and going to nursing school during the day. He works full time at a distribution place, but our annual income is still not enough to afford some of the things we want to do (like start a family, buy a house together).

We're not asking to be rich....we just want to live a little bit better. But neither of us have the financial security to stomach another student loan, so he decided not to go to school. I don't want to insult him by insisting that he apply for 2-3 jobs...but what type of jobs pay well without the employee having a college degree? Trade work? Technical work? He's a hard working man...and would do anything to put food on the table for his family. We just can't afford to put him through college now, and I'm at the end of my rope.
