Each time I make a mistake, my boss has to tell me in a loud voice, so that everyone can hear. I feel humiliated. My colleague has already told me that her behaviour is totally out of order, but I'm shy to confront and don't know where to start! My boss tells me that I have errors in my letters and that the managers have complained about me. When I emailed these managers to apologise for all these mistakes, I get replied with, "It's not a problem". I'm very slim and now my boss is asking if I'm anorexic or bulimic, as she ''wishes she was slim'. I feel I don't want to come in to work anymore, but as she's my immediate boss, how do I cope with her? If I have a disagreement about something, she raises her voice so everyone can hear and she always wins the argument. Once, when she was speaking with me she said to me, "You've gone all red". PLEASE HELP.

I'm getting my biology b.s. next semester, and I was thinking about becoming a pharmaceutical rep. I have experience in corporate sales, since I was involved in the airline industry, as an account representative, I enjoyed my work and managed to excel and travel to lots of places. My grades the first years of college are not something I'm proud of but I'm doing better now. How important are college grades for obtaining a job? What are the pros and cons of being a pharm. rep? thanks!

Hi,
I was at college and even had my place at UNI but had to leave because my partner got made redundant and we moved area.
Were now in our new house and my partner has his new job but I am so Unhappy! I dont know why, I have been taken into Hospital for a couple of days with chest pains and not being able to breath!
Everyone keeps saying I should go back to work, and I know I should as we need the money and its not fair to sit at home whilst my partner has to go to work everyday!
The problem is I am so unhappy with my working life, I always wanted to do something with my life and now im stuck in a crap job just answering the phones, its the sort of thing you could train a monkey to do really and im actually quite intelligent and could do much better but because we need the money I am having to take anything!
How can you find another job when you cant have a day off in your current job to go to a interview or anything!

I want a good job that I can weave into my school schedule. The pay isn't my primary interest; I think experience is. I just want to work where I'd be able to fit in and get a good work experience. I don't want to work at a fast food place. Any ideas on where I should look for a job?

I realized when I answered another question that my point of view on this might be the "unpopular" one...

Two sides:

1) You may prefer to hire people with a good military record because you support the people who defend our freedom and can follow orders and be productive on the job.

2) You may prefer to hire people who never served or were even discharged because you like the psychology of people who do not fight as a general rule. Maybe you would be worried to have a person with authoritarian ideals working at your place of business and want a relaxed work environment without strong political opinions being thrown around.

I can understand both of these arguements - what's your opinion?

I'm 17 years old, and a senior in high school. I'm not looking for a high paying job, just something I can do part time until this summer. I have experience in retail. I worked a mall job last summer. Does Victoria's Secret hire under 18? Does anyone know how much it pays? And what do they look for in an employee? Thank you.

Your position is directly affected both positively and negatively by his work. You have found several errors, and he refuses to make corrections. Your boss asks him to correct these mistakes, but in the end the cleanup falls on your desk. He is making more than you via OT even though he is not doing his job....you are.

To make matters worse, he has just been given a review and placed on six months probation; BUT RECEIVES A RAISE!! The first round of items you need to review are WRONG again with the same types of mistakes. There has been no improvement in 8 months. Now your boss in not only covering for him, but blaming you for not catching more of his mistakes.

im 22 years old and graduating in may 2007 with electronics and computer engineering degree(3.9 GPA) i am a pretty straight arrow and have never really been in big trouble. however, my credit score was 706 in july of 2006 but is now in the 500s level due to using a debt settlement agency and having to stop paying my bills while waiting for settlements to take place. Outstanding balances is $8000.

90% of good engineering jobs require a clearance and im worried this little debt problem that will be paid off within 3 months will become a BIG problem when it comes to getting a good engineering job.

what do you all think? thanks for the info and help. it is greatly appreciated
