I am a senior in highschool, and I do not know how to write a resume. I would like to know either the easiest way to write a resume, or recieve different resume formats.

find a template. if you have Microsoft Works or Microsoft Office installed on your computer, sometimes they have premade templates and all you would have to do is fill in your information. If you don't have that, then go to google and seach "how to make a resume" or something similar.

The way I'd like to read the resume is:
Name
Address
Contact Phone and Email

Objective

Studies including GPA

Classes that you have taken outside of highschool (like Red Cross CPR or Life guarding...)

Skills (include typing speed, public speaking abilities, computer skills, etc.)

Volunteer activities

Jobs that you have been paid for, but probably don't pay taxes fo like Baby sitting or local yard jobs, etc.

References.

You're young enough to put it all, including the refs on one page. Be very specific about your formatting, nothing is worse than bad formatting. Use your tab, not the space bars. Use one type of font, but you can bold or italicize it to make a point or your headings look better. And stick to a normal font like Times or Arial - that way it's readable on any computer and to anyones eyes.

Good question.

In my opinion, chronological is the easiest and best resume to use.

Example:

Once you have the main part of your resume, you'll only have to change the objective and or summary for each type of job. Many people write a completely new resume each time.... I'd prefer to be searching for a job, not writing all the time.
