Hi there, I was recently "promoted" at work. Problem is, They haven't gotten back with me yet with my new salary, and if I have gone salaried yet at work which they told me I would, but it wasn't official as it had to come from our corporate office. This has been almost a month ago. I emailed my supervisor last week, and she still hasn't gotten back with me. I've been at that company for a year, very reliable person, and I feel i'm not being treated very well through this whole "promotion". Any thoughts on what I should do next? Thanks.

I guess I should also add that I haven't even started my new job yet. I'm still doing data entry and I should be doing my new accounting job which I haven't even really been trained on yet.

My husband was recently promoted to another department within the company he works for and it took almost 2 months for all of the areas to get it straight. Human Resources have procedures to follow and sometimes the pace is very very slow. Although he was doing the work for the new department. When the paper work came through, everything was retroactive, which means the start date on the paperwork was the correct date - January 1.

Keep checking in with your supervisor and hang in there.

Relax- most companies pay you retroactively from the time you started doing the work you were promoted into. Even if corporate takes their sweet time (most of the time they do), they usually back pay you, so just chill out. If they don't back pay you, then I'd resign and work for someone else!
