I just got employed at a local Whataburger restaurant :))) But I don't know what to expect and I'm kind of nervous. I start on Wednesday, but I still feel that day looming ahead. Any advice on how it'll be like working at a fast-paced fast-food place?

Unpredictable. You can go from no business to swamped very quickly and back again. Be patient and calm and polite with customers. Refer any problems to the supervisor while politely interacting with the customers. Learn all you can and apply it. It's not an easy job, and it's not a bad job.

Fast food gigs are good first time jobs. Just get like 6 months of experience working there and then move onto something like retail (even if it's just cashiering at walmart). My first job was even a fast food gig. The job is easy, but you'll have to put up with bitchy people and it can get pretty busy.

Watch and learn. Read their production manuals, get to know the equipment, watch as your knowledge increases and your abilities improve and then your rise to shift lead, then shift manager, etc. Put the effort out there and you can go far, fast. Not many jobs allow you to more up the chain as fast as the fast food business.

Look at is as a learning opportunity and that you won't be there forever. Develop good work habits, arrive on time, be polite, work "clean" (it's food service!), etc. Your next job will depend on the reference you get from that job. You'll do fine. Good luck!

The best advice anyone can give you is not to work in fast food joints. They pay minimum wage and can get quite busy. You work your derrier off for nothing.

its piss easy, i wouldnt be worried, they make it so easy a team of monkeys could run the place. The managers are usually pimple faced monkeys of low intelligence, it shouldn't be hard at all

FAST FOOD SUCKS I HATED IT.....RUDE CUSSTOMERS.....FAST PACED......AND ALOT OF CLEANING............I GUESS IT JUST DEPENDS ON THE PERSON THOUGH... I MOVED ON TO THE RETAIL BUSINESSS ALOT MORE BETTER
