most car salesmen get paid as little as $50 flat fee per car and from as low as 10% to 30% depending on dealership. in heavy traffic areas where the population make alot of money, salesmen can make alot of money. In other states that dont have a large population and dont make much money car salesmen can starve. Alot of states require the dealership to pay atleast minimum wage even if the salesman doesnt sell anything. A few places will pay a salary plus a small bonus like Saturn.

Useally by check or under some cercumstances by cash. Normally whenever you take any sales position it is defined by contract as to how much, for what and how often.

If you took a job without any of these being defined you deserve little or nothing.

Let me know when you leave this job, I need some really cheap help.

They work on commission. They make 20 - 30% of the profit on each car they sell.
