Has anyone signed more than one offer letter from two different companies and then made a a decison. Is that legal to do.

It's for a big company and I would like to impress the hell out of them! I learned in college that asking them alot of questions takes the heat off of you.

My husband and I both work as sales reps at a call center for a telephone company. If you miss a day of work you are given what they call an "occurrance". If you get a doctor's note saying you were ill, they knock it down to half an "occurrance". If you get a total of three "occurrances", you get fired. Well, I have been legitimately sick three times in the past three months. First I had a horrible cold, then I got a stomach virus, and today I went to the Dr. and found out I have a flu-like bug now. What's really upsetting me is that even though I was legitimately sick all of these times, I'm STILL going to be punished for it at work. On top of it, my husband took off yesterday and today to take care of me and to drive me to the Dr. and the Dr. refused to write him a note with HIS name on it, so now he's sure HE'LL be fired. Is it just me, or is this attendance policy ridiculous? What should we do? Should we stick it out until we're fired or should we quit and get new jobs?

I'm trying to find a good night shift/graveyard shift job that would pay between $10-$14 an hour, and is not horribly stressful. I'm a hard worker, I just don't want to be so stressed that I dread going to work every day. I live in Southern California, in case it matters. Any suggestions?

He cancels and moves meetings with me on a moment's whim with no respect for my time and planning, he answers his phones (cell and work) during our meetings and talks for several minutes, often about personal stuff to friends and family, my being 5 minutes late is a grave crime but it's OK for him to keep me 15 minutes late or longer, he wanders in and out of my office all day and randomly starts talking to me while I'm working about whatever, and he puts his partial denture in and out of his mouth (like all the way, not just slipping it around inside but puts it out on the desk, then back in, then out...) during meetings.

Does anyone else have it bad like this?

I'm very over worked at work...I have two kids and when they get sick, I must take off...I don't have sick days, I work from 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6 every day, work every other Sat. for 3 hours, still don't get 40 hours a week for some odd reason...I have paper work on top of paper work on my desk. I sometimes don't get fed at work while others get to eat off the buffet line, and get sick days, paid bonuses, and extras while I'm the one doing their work and I don't get anything or recognition...I told my boss I would like a raise - she just laughs it off and say I wish I can give you one. I over heard a higher postion somewhere else is hiring and I suggested she could give me and the employer heads up but she said you are not going anywhere and laughed it off...What can I do?

I know a guy who owns a vehicle transporting business. He needs a dispatcher to communicate with his shipping trucks.
How much do dispatchers usually start out at?
I want my boyfriend to get the job, but only if it pays enough.
He has experience in dispatching, but not with this paticular kind.

My boss is useless. She says she's done something and we know she hasn't - so she lies. She is constantly making excuses for things she does/has done wrong. We have had two members of staff leave recently because of **** ups she has made with pay and conditions, and she denies things, she blames emails, computers etc. She is driving us all mad, and our line manager isn't interested - she is not a people person. What else can we do. Thought of contacting union,

My idea is tht while a degree is good for the job it does not prepare you for the experience of interaction or life experience in that field that the veteran have? answers please

I am planning to move to Woodlands Texas, my wife & I are both teachers. She is an elementary school teacher, and I a highschool teacher. We had narrowed moving to Texas down to two cities, College Station or Woodlands Texas. I am more curious about the Woodlands than I am C.S. Does anyone have any information on real estate, public/private school districts. Pay rate for the average going highschool/elementary school teacher. We wouldn't move until probably a year from now however we are starting to plan now & I am curious as to what steps are neccesary in moving from Omaha, Nebraska to Texas. Thank you.
