I'm having trouble finding a job. I'm cute and friendly and I prefer "at the counter" jobs rather than "up on your feet lifting boxes" jobs. Could you help me?

Try stores in the mall, like Build-A-Bear Workshop, etc. Mall employers do vary about age requirements, so when getting applications, make sure to ask if they hire 16 year olds. Grocery stores also hire teenagers. The pay won't be much, but having a job is really rewarding - and man, that paycheck is wonderful! Good luck in your job hunting! :)

Fast food. I'm serious! There was a study done about ten years ago that claims most career employment offers interviews to people who have worked in the fast food industry for two years. Has something to do with the work ethic they instill into teenagers. Kinda like an underpaid boot camp...minus all the cool stuff of boot camp.

a cafe? or retail it really just depends on what you're looking for and what your interested in, also you should just apply to a bunch of places because most likely the first place you apply to wont hire you (no matter if you're big, small, tall, short, gorgeous or ugly most places are looking more along the lines of presentation, personality and ability as well as a good resume)

Apply at your favorite clothing store in the mall. They normally hire high school students and you will get a discount!

They are always hiring cashiers at walmart. I worked as a cashier in my teens.
If you live in the US, they are always hiring at walmart for cashiers.
Go to your nearest walmart and go apply at their computer.
