do people think because you are older you are more experienced for a job, yet it is not always true ?

I've been customer service for 10 years, most of that in management. I'm currently a Life and Health Insurance agent but thats not going well. I live in an economically depressed area.

I'm and artist and writer by nature but that won't pay the bills.

I'm 17 and right now with school and an after school sport and homework, my schedule is kinda crowded. And over the summer there's two weeks where I'm doing this exchange program, and several days where I'm involved in sports training. Maybe an additional week for a family vacation and not to mention a college visit here or there. I've never had a job but I really really want one.

Who would hire me and be flexible to atleast compromise with my schedule? I can work mostly weekends til summer or until after AP tests.

I have a full -time job. I need to make extra money and willing to do something extra in the evenings or at home. I hear about alot of bogus jobs at home and online. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best part-time jobs? I would even take evening classes for something that I can do or obtain an extra income. Thanks for your advice!

I work in a plant and the supervisor told me to tuck my shirt in, i told him it was too short to stay in and he gets an attitude and tells me to tuck the shirt in. I told him it wouldn't stay so his face gets red and starts yelling and cursing tuck your F'n shirt in i don't care if it's too F'n short. I told him there is no reason to cuss me i was just telling you, he then starts cursing again telling me that i can go the f*** home and it's not his f'n problem if it's too short. I told him again to stop cussing at me there is no reason to. He then tells me to get the f*** out and talk to the HR manager in the morning. What can i do about him cursing and yelling at me (in front of other employees). He's been taken up front by other employees for doing the same thing but they never do anything about it.

I am currently 16 and attending high school. I got a problem, I am graduating early in a few months at 17 and will be moving out of my house. Sadly, my parents will be moving away from the area for a few months so I will have no means to contacting them in person.

I don't know what would be good steps at getting a job, apartment and all that. Basically, how to live. This may be an easy question for a lot of you, but its hard for me.

Here are some facts...

1) No car, no job, very little cash
2) I want to have a job that pays enough for life insurance and to live a secure and safe life, something that pays 2000 a month or more.
3) I DON'T want to go into the Military, this what my parents are trying to force me into and offer no more suggestions.

I would like tips on what to buy first like what type of apartment, what services I should buy, what furniture to buy, what to do, etc.And some tips on life.

I really want to succeed and become a success without going into the airforce!

I just received a rejection email for a job that I applied online for. I was a perfect fit for the position. I met or exceeded all of their hiring criteria and sent my resume within a few days of the job posting on the internet. They never even called me for an interview.

I'm planning to email them back. I'd like to find out why they weren't interested in interviewing me and if it would make sense for me to apply for other jobs with them in the future.

What should I say in the letter?

I frequently have to make travel arrangements for my boss. I was thinking that I should become a travel agent so that I can tap into those resources, get extra money for doing what I already have to do, and be able to travel for cheap myself! How do I go about this?

I met or exceeded all of their hiring criteria and sent my resume within a few days of the job posting on the internet. I have some fairly unique credentials and felt I had a real shot, but they never even called me for an interview.

They posted the job on the internet only 3 weeks ago. Given the holidays and the fact that this is a big company with a bureaucratic structure, they wouldn’t have had time to review resumes, conducted interviews, and pick a candidate.

My thought is that they either didn’t like my resume or had already picked an inside candidate all along and were following company policy by posting the job on the internet.

What do you think? Is there any point in emailing back and asking them what happend? The company has other jobs I'm interested in, but if they screend me out based on my resume then I don't see any point in applying for jobs in the future.

If I knew why they rejected me I would have a better idea of what to do next.
