Where can I get information on work at home jobs that are legitimate and not scams?

I am living in Canada...if that has any relevance, but I am a US citizen.

I have found two legitimate work at home sites so far, and one of them made me $494+ in October, $700+ in November, and $838.57 in December. They are free to join.

Once I found out these sites were legitimate, I started adding referrals. For every person you refer, you get 20% of what they earn. And for every person that one of your referrals refer you get 10% on one site and 5% on the other. In time--this could be a great source of income--making money while other people are in a sense, working for you.

If you get 5 referrals who earn $20 a month, that is an extra $20 in your pocket. If you get 100 referrals earning $20 a month, that is an extra $400 you'll earn every month!!!

And by the way--never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn't need to charge you.

I would suggest you look to build you a business online rather than a job. After all who makes more, the store owner or the employee?

It's not hard to understand how things work, but it does take hard work. There is a lot to learn, as there is a lot to gain. There is a lot of money being made online by those that know how.

You can learn a few things that may help on this site.

There are many resources that will help you weed out the good, the bad and the ugly. But personally, I would not jump on to any one else's bandwagon until you do your due dilligence.

If it looks too good to be true—it probably is.

Use your common sense . ALWAYS get independent advice if an offer involves significant money, time or commitment.

There are a couple of websites that have job listings and give good advice about working from home. There are also some low cost and no cost home based business ideas and info on how to get started. They are both free.

Try www.workathomeagent.com What you do is get paid to answer and place orders for infomercials that you see on TV. You get paid anywhere from 17 to 35 cents per minute of talk time. You sign up for 1 hour shifts. Eventually you can work for HSN.
