I haven't been able to get in touch with any job recruiters or headhunters because they claim there are none for journalism. Is this true? I am so desperate to get any job in my feild so I can work my way up, but I can't get that first job. I haven't even gotten more than 1 interview, and I've been applying for jobs for a year now.

What should I do? I am not exactly his best friend but i have revealed other things to him that people have said. This is a bit different as more people have indicated that they are offended. Maybe a note or something? I am open to all ideas as I am tired of being the one to bring the bad news to him-why do i get put in this position anyway. Only positive remarks please I need a solution and if possible a way to convey this message to him. Others could go to our offsite management folks and i could end up with a new much worse boss!

My store manager asked me a few days ago to watch an assistant manager. He used the words "you're only one I trust enough." So I'm suppost to be watching after a smaller boss for the big boss to see what dirt I can get on him.

To boot my big boss makes fun of the one I'm watching.

I think he's trying to get rid of this boss....

Does this mean I'm inline for a promotion? The big boss compliments me a lot and always talks about how I " give a damn."

Should I count my chickens?

I have a bachelor of science degree in speech pathology with a minor in pyschology. in order to be a speech pathologist you need a master's degree, but i've taken 2 grad courses in the field so far and found that i'm not interested in the field at all anymore. i really want to work fulltime but i'm not sure what kind of jobs i can get that will pay at least 35-40,000 per yr. i have work experience in fundraising, processing of medical bills, and a few months of office type clerical experience. any ideas what to search for??

Hi. I've been off sick now since March 06 (well I did go back for a week in august but couldn't manage it) and was wondering if my employers have the right to sack me for being sick. I am getting sicknotes. How long you can be off for? Is there a limit? I'm in the UK by the way. Thanks.

I work at a pool as an instructor of swimming. I am only 15 years old and school is my main prority during the winter months. I started this job last summer. I love my job, and I love doing it, but I have working in the winter when I have school work to do. My boss is constantly calling me and pushing me to work more and more. I gently tell him I have school work and cannot commit much time to work, but he doesn't take it well. (He keeps calling and asking.) It has gotten to the point that as much as I like my co-workers, I just can't stand all the pressures of school and outside work. How do I tell my boss that I can't work as much because of school? Please help, guidance, suggestions? Thank you.
