I have a bachelor of science degree in speech pathology with a minor in pyschology. in order to be a speech pathologist you need a master's degree, but i've taken 2 grad courses in the field so far and found that i'm not interested in the field at all anymore. i really want to work fulltime but i'm not sure what kind of jobs i can get that will pay at least 35-40,000 per yr. i have work experience in fundraising, processing of medical bills, and a few months of office type clerical experience. any ideas what to search for??

Well... What do you enjoy the most? You haven't mentioned that. From the perspective of your long-term happiness, I suggest you think about what you want to do and head in that direction vs. try to find a job that you *can* do that pays 35-40k/yr. My experience leads me to believe that successful people are doing what they love to do--what they have passion for.

I will stick my neck out and say that the money is out there, regardless of the field you choose. You may or may not have to be creative or work relatively hard to get the salary, but if you truly have passion for something, you will be much happier doing that than something that you are simply capable of doing.

35-40K isn't that much anymore. I can't believe I am saying that, but it is true... especially for a college graduate.

"i be responsive to I cant be an LPN and not utilising a Bachelor degree" Who informed you that ? the place do you reside? I stay in often used Wisconsin. NO LPN's in this section are required to have a Bachelor degree. If that selection into the case why could every physique acquire a Bachelor degree to be a LPN once you're a BSN RN. The LPN application is a a million year technical college degree (after pre req's) . not something greater. Over a million/2 the RN's in often used WI are purely affiliate degree. ADN nurses have no issues finding a job and gets a commission comparable to a BSN if doing a similar interest. My spouse is a DON in an acute rehab center and merely employed a sparkling grad ADN nurse this week. i become uninterested in analyzing all of the BS in this internet site that declare ADN's have no destiny, no pay etc. merely not real. I paintings for a Fortune one hundred coverage corporation as a utilization assessment Nurse. we've over 50 RN's on my unit and purely a handful are BSN's and a million Masters. commencing pay is mid 50's with many making 60K and greater. And opposite to what many say. There are dissimilar faculties that grant ADN to BSN ending touch courses.

It's hard to get a job with just a bachelors in speech pathology. It doesn't really prepare you for a job anymore than a degree in liberal arts. If you like children, you could probably work in a daycare or preschool. You could also work in a hospital setting. However, it will be hard to find a high paying salary.

Good luck! Sorry that speech isn't working out for you.

Have you considered looking into speech writing, becoming a political/politician's aide or campaign manager, or managing director of a nonprofit? I believe those are close to your work experience and may be of more interest to you while also paying as much or more than the minimum wage you seek.
