I work in Bourbonnais Illinois. I work for an american. I want to know if this is right and is there anything I can do about it. I know that when we tip out to the busser we are spost to pay 10 percent of what we make. This girl I work for makes us pay 3-8 dollar tip out. We do not make that. It is a small resturant. I mean if I make 12 dollars she still wants 5 dollars from me and I don't think it is right. It is like this everyday. All the waitress added up what we pay out and it is 150.00 a week and there is only 5 of us girls. I mean we are paying the bussers wages and I think that is wrong. We should not have to pay that the owner of the resturant should. Can anyone help me please. Also you can not tell the owner anything she thinks it is fine. Also she said I have been a waitress for 4 years I know what I am doing. Really she does not know what she is doing. If she was a waitress she would not be robbing us. Please help.

I want to own and be the manager for a Arkansas Razorback themed restaurant. I'm not sure what food I will serve, but I also want to go to the University of Arkansas. I do know that I WILL learn how to speak Spanish by that time. Thanks!

I recently started a new job, and have just completed my training, so everyone at work has been very nice and understanding of my questions and concerns. However, to be quite frank, I don't think I am good at my job. I've made several mistakes (both major and minor) almost every single day that I have actually worked. These mistakes have caused myself and the closing manager(s) to stay later than scheduled. While I haven't been warned or written up yet, I am wondering if it would be better to just put in my notice, or stick it out and try hard to improve. I am not a quitter by nature, but I am VERY concerned about being let go. Ever since I started, I have felt so stressed out and dumb. What do you think is the best option at this point? I do not have to work, so it wouldn't be necessary to have another job lined up right away. Only constructive criticism please. :)

I am thinking of changing careers and feel that going to school to be an RN is not an option for me right now. I'm thinking this may be a good way to get started and see if it's something I would even want to do for a living. Lately, I feel the need to make what I do to make money more meaningful...just can't go broke doing it!

I have a friend who lost her job, in turn she had to put in a claim to receive unemployment. Now that she is enrolled she's wanting to attend college full time, so that she may go ahead and finish college, but she's not sure if she can do that and receive unemployment at the same time.

Did you go to a school for this? How much did it cost? How much do you get on average for this? Any tips I should know? How often do you have to move from place to place? Finally, have you gone to the Atlanta Guitar Works school? I'm 20 years old and really eager to do this, unfortunatly i've only played guitar for 6 years and have no clue on how to fix them. THANKS!
