I started babysitting at 10 (there wasn't a law for how old you had to be back then lol). I raked leaves, mowed lawns and shoveled snow too. I got my first official job at 14.

I worked on the farm with my folks at age 14.(that was when we moved ot a farm). most farm children at one time worked from the time they six years old doing something. Or some evening and week end jobs such as raking leaves or feeding chickens.
My first pubnlic job was in construction at age 16

11 I was a coffee girl at a local bingo hall I was lucky to make from $10 to $15 dollars a nite not much i only worked one nite a week

13, paper route.
9 if you count cutting grass, snow shoveling. Never got paid for that or got an allowance.
