I am being interviewed for a position. What are some good questions to ask when the interviewer asks, "Do you have any questions?"

I'm wanting to get out of the classroom & had an interview for a director's position. Teachers don't negotiate their salary- it's just based on # of years exp. I just want to know what a fair salary would be w/o being taken advantage of ya know.

I work at an upscale restaurant as a coctail waitress (I take the tables in the bar section). I only work 2 nights a week, and I am just doing it for extra money while I am in grad school working on my masters.

The restaurant I work for is open 365 days a year, so the regular servers have to pick either Thanksgiving or Christmas to work, and they get the other one off. BUT, since i am a coctail waitress (there's only 2 of us total), I have to automatically work Thanksgiving since its on Thursday, and Thursday is my shift. I have to work 1-9.

I REALLY don't want to work, I am getting so depressed thinking about it as it gets closer. My family is the most important thing to me, and it makes me so mad that I have to work at this dumb job instead of being with my family for a holiday. Its not like its my chosen career, its just a side job.

What should i do? Should i call in sick or fake an injury? Or should I just deal with it?

I kind of want to work at coldstone or claire's, but don't know the approximate pay and minimum age. I know the bookstores and department stores dont allow anyone under seventeen to work there. If there are any other good places to work at, please tell me and thanks for all your help.

I have been off sick from work for 2 1/2 weeks now as I got extremely depressed. My employer bombards me with huge amounts of work and my job isn't what it used to be anymore. I can't finish my work, because I am constantly called away. I have talked to him that we need another person, but he said that they don't have the budget and instead work will get even more in teh future. I just can't deal with it anymore, i am doing the job of 3 people at the moment. I don't have a sick note for the last 1 1/2 weeks, I don't know why, was too weak from depression to do anything. I like my job if it is normal again and I don't want to loose it, but I can't face it at the moment as I am close to a nervous breakdown. Please don't tell me to stop whining, etc. It is a serious situation and I am at risk of loosing my job and everything that comes with it.

So basically, working at my fast food establishment is very unsafe. Rats, roaches, always dirty, always slippery floors, I was almost electricuted once. So I filed a report with OSHA. People supported my decision. But now that OSHA is acting on my dispute, people are upset and angry at me. I have to go to work tomorrow and I haven't been there at all while this whole thing has happened. Should I quit? Or should I stay and see the changes made? What do I do with the people who harrass me?

For a FIRST job? They want me in the shoe department at macy's and say I get to earn comission. But wouldnt that make the job harder since I am trying to meet a quota? Would the job be more stable and easier in another department that doesnt offer commission?
