For a FIRST job? They want me in the shoe department at macy's and say I get to earn comission. But wouldnt that make the job harder since I am trying to meet a quota? Would the job be more stable and easier in another department that doesnt offer commission?

depends on how much business the store does but chances are its a better deal. if its women's shoes, then you're gold. it would be more stable in a different department but you may not make as much money. if you live with your parents and dont have any bills, go with the comission job. if you dont like it, as for a different department. if they like you enough to hire you, they will transfer you to a different department to keep you on staff

Are you making only commission or a wage & comission? I try to avoid jobs that are straight comission.
